Lowry: 16.6pts 4.3rebs 7.6assists 43.7fg% Lance: 14.2pts 7.2rebs 5.4assists 49.9fg% I don't see a huge difference between them, and this pays no attention to the triple doubles. Lowry's stats could be a bit inflated by being on a worse team, but still I'd say that Lowry is better PG, Lance is a better rebounder and a more efficient scorer /slasher
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Brooklyn's Joe Johnson over Toronto's Kyle Lowry was the closest vote among the Eastern coaches, league source tells Yahoo.</p>— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) <a href="https://twitter.com/WojYahooNBA/statuses/429044609470066689">January 31, 2014</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> Though, the commish picks the replacement. This will be Adam Silver's first "big" decision
I'd say Lowry's stats are deflated by playing next to two chuckers / ball stoppers for much of the year. These are his stats since the Gay trade: 18.4 pts, 8.3 assists, 4.9 rebounds, 45.5% FG, 43.1% 3pt, 60.6% TS. Add defense and leadership. He's the vocal leader in the locker room and on the court for that team. Lowry IMO has been the best overall guard in the conference this year.
The only reason Joe Johnson is in the ASG is because of the Nets recent winning record in January and because he plays in Brooklyn. Lowry and Stephenson also have image problem around the league that may have also hurt their chances.
