you're getting older. happened to me, too. remove the element of serious competition, and it's very difficult for me to care/watch. there's next to nothing compelling about it.
I didn't watch a single all-star event. It was all just so boring last year... I'm glad that miserable break is over and I can get back to watching real basketball.
It was totally unwatchable. I tried. Whoever came up with Sigfried & Roy, Wayne Newton & Danny Gans for the pregame needs their head put in a vice.
I missed it, mostly because I was coming home from running the Austin marathon, but I wasn't really trying to get home in time. The ASG has been on a downward slide for a while. More and more "injury" replacements on top of legit ones and a general morph into MTV Celebrity Jam. MLB did it right when they made it count for something. Evan
