I did vote for our team's own superstar!!! That was my point in picking Yao, and explaining why I think that he's not just good enough to build our team around, but any allstar in the league!!! I think the four other players that I picked make superb compliments to Yao!!!

I would rather have T-Mac than Kobe, and I didn't pick him over Jesus Shuttlesworth either!

What's fun about taking the homer route for an Allstar game? WE ALREADY HAVE THE BEST TEAM IN THE NBA!!!

Yeah man, I know theres no way he makes the AS team, but it'd be cool if all of Clutchfans voted for him as a write in and he got a couple hundred votes. While he wont make the team itd be a great way to say "we appreciate your hard work".

There's no question Yao will be on the All-star team. The question is can he get 100 million votes this year, :)

Yao gets more votes than shaq since he arrived in the league. This year i chose Yao, Duncan, Nowitzki, T-Mac and Nash. For the East, i went with Shaq, LBJ, Vince Carter, AI and CB4.

    Are you KIDDING?!?!

How are you not gonna support your Rockets in the ASG voting, especially the (2nd) most important one?

Can't believe you posted that you didn't vote for T-Mac in a Rockets forum such as this.

Believe it, buddy. I wanted a team to showcase Yao. T-Mac just isn't getting it done. Sorry.

You're right, Yao being the focal point and centerpiece of the offense, taking the most shots on the team, averaging almost 26/10/2/2, having T-Mac (who's taking a backseat in scoring and averaging a career high 6.4 apg) standing on the perimeter with every other player swinging the ball around trying to post and re-post Yao... isn't enough. His skills need to be showcased man!!

Nevermind that this is the all-star game, a game that's sole purpose is entertainment, and McGrady is entertaining year-in, year-out. Nevermind that Yao has bested Shaq in the voting every year since he stepped into the league (and will continue to be the top vote getter until he retires), and that it is McGrady, not Yao, who needs the support of his fellow Rocket fans (I use the term rocket fan loosely to describe you) in a guard heavy leauge (B. Diddy, Nash, Bibby, Ray Allen, Kobe, Parker, Chris Paul, Terry - just a few he'll be splitting votes with) and a year that he is struggling.

    Nevermind all of that...

    You made the right choice.

HotHeaded: I'm not a YOF fan, ya dumbarse! Read my signature, which still applies to how I think about Yao. I just want to watch an All-Star game that centers around Yao and really showcases him. If you don't like my view, cool. But I am a Rockets fan, and go watch games here in Dallas when the Mavs play the Rockets and get cussed out routinely because I avidly cheer for the Rockets.

Street 01': Quit being so melodramatic. I don't see the All-Star game the way you do: a popularity contest for fans to pick their favorites irrespective of their individual performances. I like to pick a team that can play together and do well, not one that is going to take turns in a one on five offense.

You do know that this is the ALL-STAR game right? You over there trying to build a championship team while the ALL-STAR game is all about entertainment. Do you seriously think they are going to pound it inside to Yao every time and let him work or kick it back out? Everyone knows the all-star game is a guard's game. It's all about flashy plays and passes, ooohs and ahhhs, nothing too serious happens in these games. Sorry to break it to you, but there is too many good players for Yao to be the main focal point of the game like its Game 7 of the NBA Finals. And what makes you think the team you picked can actually play well together?

Ok you don't vote T-Mac in because he isn't getting it done with only 9 games into the season? There is plenty of time from now till Feb. for T-Mac to turn it on and he will. Like everybody else has said, you must vote both of our stars in regardless of how they're playing 9 GAMES into the season. If you say you rather vote on player performance rather than homerism, why vote this early with so much time still left before the game?
