    Yeah?

    http://www.mysanantonio.com/sports/Aggies_lineman_arrested_released.html

Texas A&M offensive lineman Rhontae Scales was arrested on assault charges at 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning, according to the College Station police Web site.

The department’s daily significant activity report stated that Scales, a 6-foot-6, 318-pound freshman from Killeen who is red-shirting this season, was arrested near the Northgate district. He immediately posted $4,000 bond and was released from jail, according to the Brazos County judicial Web site. No other details were available Sunday night, as the police’s records department was closed for the weekend, and the arresting officer was unavailable for comment.

Aggies coach Mike Sherman had said following Saturday afternoon’s 38-3 victory over Baylor that he hoped his players would get a good night’s rest because of an upcoming short week. A&M plays host to rival Texas at 7 p.m. Thanksgiving night. An athletics department spokesman couldn’t be reached for comment Sunday night.

i didn't know angry Aggie fan still existed.
their football program has been in a bad state, i actually want them to do well.

I believe it wasn't because of Texas, it was because of the other schools like OU and Tech and now TCU taking all the good talent away from them.

Typical Aggie. Need help with the facts? Here you go.

    1999
who cares that was 11 years ago and in the last decade.

    2005 you finished 65
You did not even finish in the top 25 of the BCS rankings in 2005 so I'm not sure where you get 22. Perhaps your Aggies finished top 25 in the YMCA league or something that year.

    2006 you finished 27
You were ranked 21 in the final BCS rankings in 2006 but the final BCS rankings are not the final rankings of the year. They only take you to the bowls. After your Aggies were destroyed by Cal 45-10 in the Holiday Bowl your final ranking for the year was 27 sorry.

    Code:
    	UT	A&M
    Final Computer Rankings
    2001	6	31
    2002	6	50
    2003	8	87
    2004	6	41
    2005	1	65
    2006	13	27
    2007	12	49
    2008	3	97
    2009	3	bad

Of course 2009 is not over. UT will likely move up 2 spots while I think BAD is probably accurate for A&M and their final rankings.

Edit: If anyone wants to go back to 2000 the great Aggie powerhouse finished 36 in the final rankings. http://www.collegefootballpoll.com/2000_archive_computer_rankings.html

Aggies don't just have players on probation. They have entire teams on probation. ;)

This is just so so ignorant.

Yes, UT has a much better program than A&M right now but this post makes no sense. How has A&M won two out of the last three years yet they are not competitive with UT nor are they a real threat? In fact Texas has a better record against OU the past few years then they do A&M.

Baylor?? Are you serious? Have they beaten UT in the past 15 yrs?

Texas will probably win and yes the aggies are down but they have still managed to win some games the past few years against UT.

Also, this will not be a cakewalk for UT like people think. They will probably pull away in the 4th but it will be a battle.

The Ags have not been recruiting poorly and certainly have not been losing consistently to tech and tcu in recruiting. It's been the coaching wasting the talent ... I think Sherm is doing ok but it's going to take some time.

The problem is that your program is not just going through a down time. A decade of futility and just plain bad football, points to a bad program period. Baylor and A&M have a lot in common... neither school has a clue how to put a good team on the field.

Last year Baylor finished ranked 91 and A&M's final rank was 96. It's time to face reality.... A&M is comparable to Baylor on the football field. :p

A&M's defense gives up 31.18 points per game. Texas gives up 41.5.

Unfortunately for A&M, those numbers are Aggie football vs Texas basketball.

A&m football has been bad for a decade= true

Comparable to Baylor is a Joke. They haven't been to a bowl game in years. Have they ever won 3 Big 12 games?

    And? Everyone knows that.

They also have the #7 offense in the country and average 34 points per game.

    So what?

Offense is good, defense is horrific.

That combination is bad... Texas has the best defense in the country.... Their offense ain't too great at times but seeing A&Ms D.. It won't even matter.

I really don't see the point in bashing the opposite school. I, being an Aggie, respect Longhorn fans, but I don't respect those who only bash A&M. So they don't have a good football program, so what? There are many more sports that A&M is very good in. For example, Track and Field, equestrian, and golf are only a few. So, all I ask is that you don't bash A&M for whatever reason, and just cheer for your favorite team. I also expect the same from you fellow Aggies, respect Longhorns fans, and ignore any fans who bash. In a way, Texas A&M and Texas are like brothers. They are there for one another when something goes wrong. For example, the Bonfire tribute from Texas and their band on the game after the collapse in 1999. They were there for us. Have respect for your fellow brother, and root for your team.

That may explain why UT has lost 2 out of the last 3. Please keep underestimating the Aggies.

Saying your University's Athletic program is respectable because you have a good equestrian program is like telling your buddy he will like the blind date your are setting him up on because although she's not much to look at she has a great personality. :p

Seriously dude, where is the fun in a rivalry if you can't throw a few Rocks back and forth. Clearly UT has the better football program right now and its not even close. But with all of the bantering thats been going off just think of how sweet it will be for you if your team pulls off the upset. Now thats not going to happen but it at least it should give you something to hope for.

Uh...Fran NEVER finished in the top 20 at TCU. Fran coached at TCU from 1998-2000.

In 1998 and 1999, TCU finished unranked. In 2000, the were number 21 in the final AP poll. That finish had a lot to do with Ladanian Tomlinson.
