If Fran could put a top 20 team on the field every year at TCU but couldn't crack the top 25 even once at A&M, what does that say about A&M? :grin:

 

Hmm.... well I grew up on the Longhorns so that's what I'm cheering for. So... let me just get your logic... before I attended college, I was a die-hard Horns fan.... first year of college... I'm going to UTSA because I couldn't get in... so now I should go for nobody and just give up my love for the Longhorns for this year... the SAME year that they could possibly win a title? Oh and UTSA doesn't have a football team smart ass.

 

eh - military schools were winning national championships back then, and if I'm not mistaken Texas A&M claims its only national title from the pre-war era.

 

Well I wasn't being a homer I was giving insight to those that have not watched A&M play...and yes it will be a shootout if the ags are gonna win we are not a grind out smash mouth team this is not gonna be low scoring game at all the ags got the 3rd best offense in the nation...now if texas goes up early like 14-0 then yea i could see texas winning 38-10 but if its close it will be a shoot out

My post had nothing to do with what football team you cheer for/ what school you're currently attending.

Fran cracked top 25 on a regular basis. You mean finish top 25? He probably did that too. I mean he lost a Cotton Bowl and a Holiday Bowl. Not too shabby.

 

A&M has not had a top 25 finnish in a decade.

 

I'm not annoyed or irritated with being insulted or being insulted back... All I ask is that you use a logical insult and not the "UTSA" insult.

 

Seriously what is wrong with A&M football ?

They haven't had a good team in a loooong time -- they used to be a powerhouse.

The method they used in the 1980's no longer is fea$$$ible...

 

not really, it's just that we're a little behind on Mack Brown's methods of recruiting, especially from the state penitentiary. We actually care a little bit about the reputation of our school, and this is probably why we have such a $h!tty football team.. non-Thugs aren't that good at football
