lol @ aggies thinking they have a shot in hell at beating Mccoy and that offense. We blew them out last year and with a good WR core and our secondary more experienced, we should shut them down and score at will.

Seriously though, for a game to be a rivalry game both teams need to have some semblance of a competitive team and A&M has not put a competitive team on the field in quite a while now. Sad to say that Texas only has one true rival anymore and thats Zero U. It's sad because the UT / A&M rivalry was really good many years ago. Unfortunately UT looks at a game against A&M kind of like a game against Baylor now. Your not a real threat and the football program as a whole in College Station is kind of pathetic.

 

astros148 is an unsung troll the last year and a half. He loves to LOL his UH team in game threads too, classy.

 

OU is definitely a bigger rival for you this decade. I would understand your comments if you had won out the decade as you had against Baylor. As it stands though Texas has actually lost 2 of the last 3, a fact you continue to overlook. I agree it's hard to call A&M anything more than mediocre, if not outright bad over the course of the last decade. However, there's still that little thing called Scoreboard.

 

I'll try and give some insight on the Aggies for those that think this will be some kind of blowout.....

Jerrod Johnson is having an amazing year statistically 24 passing td and only 5 int, with also 8 rushing td..That said he loves the big play and if its not there tends to take it himself instead of throwing to the check downs but other than that the kid had been great and could really put himself on the map with a great performance thursday....

the running backs are the strength of this offense with gray and michael providing strength and speed, gray can make something out of nothing while michael is just plain fast he had a 97 yd td run from scrimmage on saturday....

the receivers also are a strength you got your big receiver in fuller and your speed receiver in nuwachaku but anyone can hurt you at a given time the thing that has been killing the other receivers tannehill and tight end mccoy our dropped passes that Arkansas game has a diff result if we dont drop 2 key passes....

the defense will be the key von miller will get his, but its up to the young dbs to come up big, those kids can hit but theyll have their work cut out for them facing shipley, they also have a tendency to get down and play poorly when the score is not in their favor but if they can overcome that could be different game....

special teams is this teams biggest weakness whether is fumbling on kick of returns or muffing punts special teams plain sucks and that is why i believe shipley will have at least 1 special teams td.....

in conclusion the offense will get theirs they have too many weapons its gonna come down to how much continuous pressure we can get on colt and well our young dbs can overcome mental mistakes....I actually think it will be close bc these kids play like men at home going to be high scoring so I'll take the Ags 35-31

 

I understand that people can be homers, and I understand that rivalry games can make crazy things happen, but if you are going to go with the upset at least make it logical.

Texas A&M will not win in a shootout. Will not happen. If the Aggies do pull it off, it will have to be a defensive struggle (like the Texas-OU game.)

I do think this game will be closer than people think, but to realistically think that the Aggies will score 11 more points than any team against the 'Horns this season, while holding them to their second lowest total of the year, is delusional.

Uh... I wonder why people pick on me? Do you even know what the hell you're talking about? I don't give a **** about that... I'm talking about why people use what school I go to as an insult to me because I'm supporting a football team that I've been supporting my whole life and because this ONE year... ONE... year I'm going to a different school that doesn't even have a ******* football team... I can't be a fan.... which really makes a ****load of sense. Yeah give up 12 years of being a fan of a team just this year because I'm going to a different school for a year... coincidently the same year that they have a shot to win the national title. I'm not easily offended buddy.... it's just illogical how people like to use their insults towards me... I'm fine with insults... just use ones that actually make sense and mean something.
