So Gobert received 4 more first place votes (translating to 12 points), but only 29 votes total to ADs 34, with the math having AD as the 1st team center. Assuming there are 35 total votes... this of course leads you to the obvious question - who are the 6 fools out there who didn't have Gobert as 1st, 2nd or 3rd team all center? I'd say the same about AD's 1 missing vote, but at least I can think maybe someone got confused and thought of him as a forward (even though I suspect the ballot clearly listed him as a center). Of course you can do this down the list. Like Giannis had 28 total votes. Which means 7 voters didn't have Giannis as one of the 6 best forwards in the NBA. Maybe that's acceptable if someone really thought PG or Hayward were close enough and Giannis was their guy right after... but it seems crazy.
George may have been gone regardless. I still think Hayward resigns with Utah now that they've reached the 2nd round. But paying him max money may cost them some of their other free agents.
Anyone find how the NBA defines positions differently for All-Star and All-NBA silly? Stick to one. This inconsistency will almost always lead to having weird situations like non-All-Stars like KAT being on an all-NBA team.
Harden gets unanimous 1st place votes! It's good to see him get recognized by the media for something, even though he will get screwed over in MVP voting.
Mostly correct, but I would make a few adjustments -Gobert and AD flipped -IT and Wall flipped -Gordon Hayward on and Jimmy off -And MAYBE Jokic over Towns
I like your adjustments except the last one. I know Jokic had some great games, and the Nuggets were bettter than the TWolves, and Jokic is probably a better defender than Townes (though we're not talking Gobert like here in any scenario), but KAT had a sneakily amazing season. 25/12/3 on 54% shooting and 37% three point shooting. Jokic catches up on a per 100 possession basis, but is still slightly behind. In all, though one of the better group of centers in a while. Of course, I'm not sold on AD as a center... but 82games.com does have 2/3 of his time spent at center. I mean TD was really a center all those years, and everyone considers him a PF. So we have TD being a PF and AD being a center. Doesn't make any sense, but whatever.
Should get rid of Positions. Pick based on best 5. Basketball is at that point where teams are starting to play alot of positionless basketball.
No way. I don't believe at all that KAT made the 3rd all nba team. Not over Gasol and Cousins. Derozan over Lowry and CP3? LOL
YESSS Harden is on a all NBA team.... I wonder if he has a chance of MIP, since he was not an all nba player last year and now he is a first all NBA team that is a huge improvement
