Just want everyone to know I cheated. My group and arjun's groups are stupid. Clearly heavy cheating had occurred. I think our 2 groups need to be redone with public polls.

I just like the fact we have people, probably in the high dozens or low hundreds who vote by "do I know this guy? oh yeah, I've seen him on SportsCenter, he must be good" we even have some admitting it. You can knock my offense, which has happened, but I put up the numbers showing my team is better than your average NBA squad. But then to hear my defense is also subpar? That's simply people not being knowledgeable.

Probably the last post I'll make in regards to my team, like I said a few times yesterday, and what Ubig said on here, after what seems like at least a little bit of looking through the people on my team, there was always a zero chance I'd move on, I don't have the Wades or Kobes or Howards on my team. (Absolutely not a knock to the other's teams, I'm definitely not a top 5 or 6 team even with my players being known thoroughly) It took up a lot of my bored free time, so I can't complain.

Vote count as of right now:

    A: Dharocks, Effryl, Rednation-122
    B: ICDOY, SecretLover, AFS-133
    C: Bleedrocketsred, Hoopstar, Juice-114
E: Bob, Torque, Fadeaway-211 (cheating for sure in there)
    F: Spooner, Syde, Ubigman-135
    G: Freeze, Hippo, Rocketsred14-175
    H: The Thing, Ricky, JMC-176

and then there's group D with Arjun, Wekko, and VBG with 334.

    This has become very sad.
I think it is fair to say that the reason Arjun and Wekko's vote tally is so much higher, is because their incessant bickering has kept them at the top of the dish. How many people are going to go through and voting for all of the rounds? I don't have any thing against Arjun, but his Frontcourt is pathetic. It would have been in his best interest to keep his mouth shut so people wouldn't have noticed that abomination of a Frontcourt.

It bothers me that Torque cheated, there really should not be cheating going on..... however, in his defense, he has a very solid team. Easily the strongest in that group. IMO. Something could have been wrong there from the start, but we don't know for sure. It's possible the voters just decided that way.

Is it really too much to ask for people to put their ego's aside and just have fun? I am sure that is why we all signed up in the first place.

There were some people who honestly didn't expect this as soon as the polls went up as open?

This might sound crazy, but I'm down to start over again either now, or after the voting ends and there is a winner. There would have to be a new draft order, a set time limit, set rules about trades, no free agency, and a better bracket/vote system in place.

To be honest, I regret adding all those votes. There would have been more honor in me just pointing out my issues and not resorting to what I did. But, it was very very obvious to me that there was cheating going on. I was watching my group's poll very closely, and there were times when the vote count for my team would spike by 10, 15 votes at a time within the span of a minute or less. That seems pretty blatant to me.

By adding votes to my team I wasn't intending on "cheating" and winning my group - I added the votes and then immediately posted that I did it in an effort to force a public poll for our group. I think that would only be fair considering the blatant cheating that I witnessed.

And yes, I realize I'm taking this all too seriously. But it was very fun to draft and negotiate and all that, and I was excited about the prospect of a fair match-up with the team (that I consider very strong) that I assembled.

I wouldn't be apposed to doing this again in the future:)

lol that ego comment wasn't so much directed at you, more toward Arjun/Wekko
You have a very nice team man.

I signed up for whatifsports.com. It simulates a team vs team matchup that we could use instead of voting. The only thing is it requires 12 man rosters, and it has a salary cap system. If anyone knows of a better site, feel free to suggest.

I was thinking we add player salaries and try to build a team while staying under the luxury tax, which is about 70,307,000 (looked on wiki). It'll make things more complicated and get more of the GM feel.

Still trying to find a list of all the players salaries.

check out whatifsports. Like I said though, you have to have 12 players. We would have to be strict about people on the clock. Look how long it took to draft 8 man rosters.
