If you recall, when Butler was drafted, I pointed out that he'd be recovering from injury and not fully healthy. But VBG (who made the selection) decided it wouldn't be fair to exchange picks. Rookie performances will be up to the individual voters.
Using the entire season's performance doesn't necessarily indicate a player's "current 2011 level." Some players broke out towards the end of the season and using the entire year's stats is not a good indication of where they were at by the end of the season. Those rules are not the same as saying that we are using the 2010 season's performance as indication.
That's fine. But the baseline has always been the 2010-2011 season. If there are mitigating circumstances (such as a breakout the last few weeks of the season), then make a case that the player should be regarded higher than his 2010-2011 level indicates.
wekko, I'm not sure if it's any consolation, but guests can vote anonymously an infinite number of times in public polls as well as private. Which is to say, if someone really had it out for you, you'd be ****** either way.
Me too, if you look in my match up some said why is freeze losing to green when freeze had 5 votes and green had 11 People need to read smh
That's why in the all-time draft, they counted the individual voter names to determine the winning teams. So no, no consolation.
shiiiiiiii, my bad pool G. Somehow I forgot to add the first paragraph to your guys thread. It was still pretty clear that you were supposed to vote for the worst team, but I screwed up.
Maybe you should restart these polls and 1) Make them public 2) Include the rules 3) Have voters vote for the best team. The team with the fewest votes will get eliminated
I don't like 3)..... in some groups you'll have one team then get 100 while the other two will be fighting it out with 8-12 votes.
I actually agree with this. Since it is not public, it is too easy to vote for a team you dont want to face and sink them early. I wouldn't do that, but looking at these results, something is clearly wrong.
I changed my mind, I almost can't win the first round, this just adds to the hilarity of the whole thing, in a good way. I say keep it as it is, it'll all even out in the end.
I will gladly delete my threads if someone else feels inclined to start 8 public polls, with all of the suggestions that have been offered. That said, I posted a sample of what the threads would look like an hour before polling began, and the only suggestion I got was "put it when the polling closes". I sort of think that some of these complaints are over people being salty that the early voting returns aren't necessarily in their favor, but who can say for sure. But again, if someone posts new polls and wants me to delete the titles and content of mine, I'm happy to oblige.
