A few of you have commented about how my team sucks. But no one has been able to explain why. I just hear vague excuses like "Garnett is too old" which, given his 2010-2011 performance, is irrelevant. The only weakness I see in my team may be a weaker perimeter defense (and that's iffy considering Jameer Nelson is a good defender), but I have the best interior defense combo (Nene/Garnett) to compensate. So tell me, what weaknesses do you see in my team?
And screw it, other posters have done it so I'm gonna do it: No one else has drafted yet, so I'm changing my pick to Ryan Anderson. If Jason Thompson gets taken before RedNation can pick, I'll trade him Anderson and take back Lewis. If Lewis and Thompson get taken, I'll draft a lesser player. No one gets screwed over, excepted potentially me. And if anyone seriously protests, I'll just freaking hold on to Lewis.
now that teams are nearing completion...something has begun: competition. and **** talking is fun...its what makes this enjoyable...wekko is my bffl
jrich and magette are terrible...your only reason scorer is stephen curry...way way way too much of a load for him to handle. he will be forced to almost basically generate all the offense
As far as I remember, the only times people have exchanged picks is when they drafted ineligible players (Shaq/Valanciunas). Can you think of a time when a valid draft pick was exchanged?
your best player...is worse than most teams' best player. and your "depth" does not make up for it. outside of curry the 2 other players that can contribute are garnett/nene...the rest suck...wilcox jrich magette??? seriously can i barf now?
Garnett had a DRtg of 95 this year. That is ridiculous. You really dont need to prove anything to these people lol.
Jameer Nelson can't create his own shot? Garnett can't create his own shot? Nene can't create his own shot? Geez, even Maggette can create his own shot if he needs to...
Don't forget Jameer Nelson. A Nelson/Nene (and Curry/Garnett) pick and roll would be tough to stop, especially since I have strong perimeter shooters. Wilcox is purely there for defensive and rebounding purposes.
About 90% of Nene's offense comes from running the floor and working the baseline for lobs, drop passes and second chance opportunities. That's not really "creating your own shot"...
He has the ability to face up and take his man off the dribble. Even though he's 6'11, his mobility and power reminds me Amare Stoudemire. But you're right, most of his baskets do come from someone else setting him up. That's why I got Jameer Nelson, a fantastic pick and roll PG.
not to mention kevin garnett scores on alot of open jump shots or plays created by rondo...don't forget he plays with rondo..pierce..and ray allen... he does not really create his own shot now days...what so ever...even then he only averaged like 14 pts last yr...so if he could create his own shot he should have done it more often..maybe they wouldn't hve embarrassed themselves against the heat.
My bad, I was thinking about when RowdyRicky took Roy and then switched to Bosh. I had forgotten that he had specified he was taking Bosh in the original post, but I just looked back at his posts and saw that. If anyone has a beef with it, let me know.
Garnett can easily create his own shot in the post. That's a fact. Garnett is a smart and unselfish player. He's not going to shoot more for the sake of shooting more. If he's open, he'll shoot, if help defense comes, he passes out to the shooters (Pierce/Allen). That's basic basketball....
cough...um garnett was assisted on 79% of his shots last year....if he could still create his own shot easily in the post....then the celtics would use him as more than just a finisher...
