Getting up there in age? This simulation is for 1 season. Richardson will be 31. Maggette will be 32. Wilcox will be 29. Age isn't an issue with them.

The only player with an age concern is Garnett who will be 35, but projected production will be based on last season's performance, and Garnett was beastly.

Also, there are no mitigating circumstances. For instance, Marcus Camby will be 37 next season. He had solid numbers in 2010-2011, but his mpg dropped by 5 minutes compared to his 2009-2010 season. Therefore, you could make an argument that his age is catching up with him.

In regards to athleticism, it's only effective if there is the skill to properly utilize it. I think the only distinct athletic advantage he has is Monta Ellis, and that's somewhat neutralized b/c Ellis is a defensive liability. Also, he won't be able to showcase his athleticism in transition offense b/c my team should dominate the boards due to superior height, size, strength.

Valanciunas is interesting. We know as much about him as any other rookie but there is the added possibility that he probably won't be here next year.

We are drafting players eligible for next season (why Shaq was disallowed).

On the other hand, this whole draft and matchups will be over and not be affected by next season anyway.

Honestly, a Euro big though in his first year in the NBA, I really don't see him making much of an impact

you have a couple of 6-11 guys and a 6-10. I have a 6-11, and three 6-9 guys. Nene outweighs Frye by a whopping 12 lbs. No one on your team is going to out muscle Davis. So I'm not sure how you plan on "dominating" the boards.

my team being quicker does lead to transition, you're going to miss shots, and those misses will lead to a ton of wide open shots when your team can't stay infront of Ellis or Holiday.

Your 6'11 guy is Channing Frye who makes his living from the 3 pt line. It's hard to get rebounds when you're 20 feet from the basket.

Total rebounding % is the percentage of available rebounds that a player grabs when he's on the court.

    Glen Davis's TR% is 11.4. Channing Frye's is 11.7. Tyrus Thomas's is 15.8. Hickson's is 17.7.

    Chris Wilcox's is 16.7. Garnett's is 17.5. Nene's is 14.4.

However, you have to keep in mind that most NBA teams do not have a 6'11 PF and a 7' C (or vice versa). Therefore, your players accumulated their stats against smaller frontcourts. It's reasonable that your players' TR% would drop if they had to compete against a frontcourt of Garnett/Nene.

Also reasonable those numbers could be great since they won't be playing on the same team as other players who would be getting them.

I'm not sure why you think Frye would be standing at the 3 point line while on defense?? I think he's smart enough to realize that he can't score on his own basket.

    That logic is a stretch.

If I'm understanding you correctly, you're saying that Glen Davis' TR% would rise b/c he's not playing alongside Kevin Garnett. That might hold water if there were no one to replace Garnett. However, you'll have him playing alongside Hickson/Thomas.

Do you deny that a player's numbers will drop if he has to play against bigger/longer/stronger players than he normally plays against?

I'm talking about when Frye is on offense. Regardless, statistically, Frye is a poor.

frye is a god awful rebounder, but he'll easily have to force Nene or Garnett away from the lane with his shooting
