So a portion is going to charity.......I am sure she is like the rest of the family. I imagine the portion going to charity is cleaned by one of the trump "businesses" then attach some fee and then give the charity 0.00001%

I'm clearly dense and admittedly don't really understand NFTs and blockchain, but if she bought it herself with her crypto, how is that laundering or benefiting her?

I am not a NFT/crypto expert either, but I am guessing the idea was she bid up the price in order to get higher bids. In this instance it appears no one fell for the scam, she was the only bidder, and she ended up "winning" it herself. It would be like having an auction, having a friend in the audience placing higher bids with the hope of driving up the price, then paying off the friend should no one out bid the friend. This also would seem to give value to something that is valueless.

Where there may be more trouble is if it was portrayed to be for a charitable organization that may or may not have actually existed or did not receive the funds. Some [undefined] part of the proceeds was supposed to go to an [unnamed] charity providing money to foster children access to computer science education (at trump university?).

I understand the upping the bidding part, so if that is the only issue then it's "ha ha", she got stuck with her own product and she's an idiot because the bidding can be tracked back to her.

I am guessing its a common practice with dishonest real estate people... assigning a falsely high value to a piece of property. Oh wait, trump has been proven to do just that. And I seem to recall trump had his lawyer (at the time) michael cohen buy one of his paintings at an art auction.

Of course, there is no info on the foster children that some unmentioned portion of the sale was supposed to go to. If it does go, how much do you want to bet that trump has some sort of financial connection with it? heck, trump's family history is fake charity and reneging on giving the money to charities.

that and these co-mingling actions described below, and others, by Trump prompted NYAG to disband the Trump Foundation, and bar Trump and his 3 oldest from ever associating w charity again,

    • Trump Foundation funds were used to pay for
      • some expenses incurred by Trump property at Mar A Lago
      • a life-size poster of Trump (in an charity auction)

How many boomers are going to buy this stuff thinking they will get an actual item. At least with the Franklin Mint they would get a crappy coin.

Oh Eric, condemning Biden for riding a bicycle while a war in Ukraine is going on when your Daddy spent 300 days at the golf course while in office is laughable. Jealous your old man couldn't even balance on a bike?

People's remarks on this are great!

Eric Trump: My dad would’ve called up & said “Vladimir, don’t even think about it. Don’t even try us. I’m telling you it’s not going to work out very well for you”

    LOL

Captain Ouchie Foot dodged the draft 5 times & hid in the White House bunker because of peaceful protestors.

His father wouldn’t even show up to the 100th anniversary of the end of WWI in France because he didn’t want to get his hair wet.

    Cancer charity thief’s got jokes

Allow me to remind you, Eric, that your father’s epic meltdown at Helsinki at the feet of Daddy Putin will go down in the annals of history as one of the most embarrassing and shameful moments involving an American President.

"We don't rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need from Russia."
    (Eric Trump, 2014)

Oh so why did Eric's daddy just give the Taliban everything they wanted, including releasing 5,000 prisoners, and then just bail on Afghanistan?
