I just wanted to point out that as talented Rashard Lewis is (inside and outside game), he is one of the most heartless players in the league. This guy will sit out important games and miss playoffs due to a minor finger injury. It is also very easy to take him out of his game. Just be a little physical and he shrinks. Rashard's personality does not negate our 2 main stars somewhat complascent attitude, it enforces it. We need a tough minded sonufabeetch! Rashard = Great guy and excellent talent but another mentally weak player.

It is a good time to ask the Lord for his blessing, in the form of wishes and desires, even for something as trivial as an entertainment, the sport of Basketball. [trivial as far as in the big picture ] a) I would like to see Novac, V.Span and Bonzi become significant contributors to the Houston Rockets Team b) I would like to see a change of heart of the Head Coach Jeff Van Gundy, in as much as he puts the betterment and future of the team ahead of his personal career with our team. To show that he has, he needs to say less about the negatives and more about the positives. He must stop having stubbon faith in lost causes such as Howard, Padgett and Mutombo. They need to have only very small roles till they can be rerplaced. c) That the Rockets Management do not loose sight of the future and as soon as possible find the team a decent Power Forward and a back up Center. d] I would like to see Yao Ming, play as only Yao Ming can play, even in the final quarter.Also I would ask for all to stop comparing him to Shaq, Yao Ming will never be another Shaq but he will be a Yao Ming, different and better!
Mo in my opinion is unhappy right now. He has become Mitchell's whipping boy and Mitchell has no business being a head coach in this league and will in all likelihood be gone by the All-Star break. I don't know where to find Mo Pete's prior PER numbers but even if they were around 14-15, you have to remember, he has played on losing teams for his whole career basically. Would you attribute those to him? How could you when VC is half manning it for them? I think there is more to Morey than just +/-. You've got to look at the situation. Mo has always been a very good perimeter defender from what I remember and he is a much better shooter than he is given credit for. Mo is in a contract year and his coach has benched him. He hasn't said anything but you know he is pi.... off. Here's the thing. We are gonna have to do something to upgrade by the trade deadline most likely. We aren't going to be able to upgrade this offseason if Chuck Hayes continues to blow up because we will have to give him a good portion if not all of the MLE this offseason. My understanding of his status is we do not have his Bird rights so we are going to have to use our MLE. I don't know about you but if he stays in the court and puts up 8-10 boards a game and 7-10 points on highly efficient put backs, we can't afford to lose him. So, our MLE is shot for this coming offseason. Even if we don't give it all to him, what are we going to be able to pick up for $1-2 million of the MLE? Not much, that's for sure. And the other thing is, Bonzi is going to walk on us. We don't have his Bird rights, he probably doesn't want to stay at this point, and even if we did have his rights, there is no way we sign him to some $30 million deal and watch him come to camp at 270 next year and blow out a knee. Bonzi is going to be a 1/2 year rental at this point. I think we should make it as uncomfortable on him as possible so he begs to be moved, then we start talking to a club like Denver about him or possibly the Clips, him and Sura's deal for Maggette. The way I see it, we are gonna lose Bonzi anyways, and we need to get another player because Hayes is going to cost us most of the MLE.

A starting lineup of PG: Mike James SG: Tmac SF: Shane Battier PF: Chuck Hayes C: Yao Ming Key bench players PG: Vspan / Head Swingman: Bonzi Wells Backup Combo Forward: Steve Novak Backup C: Mutombo To me, that team could contend. The starting lineup has 2 hustle role players that bring energy and HIGH BB IQ in Battier and Hayes. And then it has 3 scorers in James/Tmac/Yao. The bench is a nice mix of scorers and energy players.
