I was wondering the same thing since I live in Round Rock. Hopefully the HD feed will get to us! The past couple of years, the Rockets telecast on NBA League Pass has been horrible.
I have tried 3 times already to order League pass and get the kinks out of the way, like make sure the internet versions work, but Time Warner says it is not even offered yet. Madness ! DD
last year on dish i got no games on the NBAHD channel just on the HDPPV channel hopefully they've revamped the set up i wouldnt mind paying a bit extra to be able to as many games in HD as possible.
do any dish network subscribers(hopefully that live in the woodlands) know what channels the fox sport HD is or what channel it is that we get Rockets games in HD????????????? it would be really helpful, i remember last year i was watching the rockets game in regular version and my neighbor down the street who was subscribing to time warner was watching them in HD thanks
Don't know how I missed this thread but damn this is some exciting news. Glad to be moving to Houston soon so i don't have to twurk with League Pass like I did last year. HD basketball games are the truth - if you don't have an HDTV you need to find the light quickly. Like someone said earlier its amazing to see the clarity and speed / ferocity of the game and to watch the plays develop.
Anybody know if the games will be on Ch 51 or exclusively on FSN. I hope it's Ch 51 because watching over-the-air with an old fashioned antenna looks great ...100x better than on cable. Ch 51 on Time Warner was a steaming pile of poo. I've got HD on my OTA atenna only ...my DVR won't record HD on cable. OTA HD looks really good.
we never got OTA HD to work at our house. we have a 50" plasma wall mounted right now(not sure why we didnt go projector when it was being done cuz 50 is really small) but were going projector soon. we have dish, havent gotten HD service yet, so what channel will i need to get to watch this awesome stuff
I preach the Projector Love™. 2x-3x the size at ¼-⅓ the price. It can't be beat. Hell, the image I posted is ON A WALL, not even a screen. DVD's look awesome. I can't wait to get an HD receiver.
There is some combo of paint you can buy to paint a wall that's perfect for projection. I wanna buy an electric screen.
Man this is great news! The HD broadcasts have so much detail that you never realized you missed by watching standard-def. Anybody who says it's no big deal or they cant tell a difference seriously needs to get their eyes checked! I'm not being a smart-@ss either. I mean really go get your eyes checked. I recently got my eyes checked, and found out I got Astigmatism, after getting glasses HD programs look like they are 3D now. LOL I was freaking out in front of the tv for hours after getting glasses. I always thought I had good vision. who knew?
Will the HD be available via dish only, or is there any chance you can watch em via stream over here in Germany?
Yes, most of the games came on the ALT channels last year. The games on the ALT channels are not in HD. To watch the games in HD on Dish that are being broadcasted by FSN you have tune into channel 366 (FSN HD).
great news but I'm just counting on Rockets2K , I don't have a budget this year for cable TV. Remind me after the first download to put something to the tipjar.
HOLY SMOKE! That's expensive. The method I was talking about was probably less than HALF,but you mix it yourself or take it to Depot/Lowes to mix for you. The electrical retracting screen is what I want, but holy gimoses!
