I know it won't happen but Walton is my choice 1, 2, and 3 for next Rockets coach.

If Steve Kerr were to retire after this year you know he'd be the Warriors next coach. And they wouldn't be concerned one bit.

Young, smart, and with the resume now to be able to come in and say listen to me. This is the way to do it.

All aboard the Walton bandwagon. Choo choo!

I think he'll be coaching the Knicks next season.

GS system wouldn't work with our roster of players. Stop trying to play like them find your own freakin identity and play that way... and then force other teams to play your game.

Walton would be okay, though I think that if he leaves the Warriors, it'll be for the Lakers or Knicks.

Walton more likely will take the Lakers job. He has a home in SoCal and would be under way less pressure there.

    1) Walton wouldn't take this job and 2) he's not the best candidate available

I don't see how Walton has proven anything. The Warriors ran themselves while he was the interim

I don't think we need to try to copy the Warriors' formula.

I think we should explore all options before Luke Walton. Why not ask Martin Lawrence to be coach, he was a middle school and NCAA coach in some kids movie a while back? He's equally qualified as Luke.

I say the Rockets should try and hire Luke Walton and call it a day.

To Me, he might be what this team lacks at the moment.

He's been a huge part of the staff from day one.
If you are comfortable with a top assistant with no prior HC experience - I am - then why wouldn't he be a top choice?

And, you can downplay his interim head coach record all you want ... But someone was coaching that team.

It's not about copying the Warriors style. It is about copying their discipline. You think the way they pick for example is only relevant in their style? What about Livingston... He never shoots threes but they've incorporated him. Kerr and Walton have both talked about initially starting by really really focusing on nailing down the fundamentals. That happens to be what the rockets suck at.

Youre tripin. Luke walton has basketball blood. Hes been around the game his whole life, has won ships as a player and coach, and is more than capable of being a head coach. Its like he was born to be a coach, futher more he played, so he has a feel for the game unlike some people. *coughs* jbb*coughs*
