    Second trailer is much better, and it comes close to recreating the tone of the latest games. Alicia Vikander, imo, is pretty spot on as Laura. I have hope but not completely sold.

    Same here, too many misfire video game adaptations to get too excited but I'm hopeful it'll be a nice surprise......

    Had doubts about Vikander being cast, because I thought she was too small / not thicc enough to play Lara. But then I thought about the same hate that Gal Gadot got, when she was cast for Wonder Woman,

    I think Vikander will be good in the role! Like others have said, the trailer seemed to be more like the video game reboot than just a random adventure thriller feel.

    The original Tomb Raider didn't take itself too seriously which is why it was fun. Angelina Jolie's practically giving you the sexy wink wink throughout the whole movie. This new movie seems to take itself extremely seriously. Do not like.

    saw screening last night

    it was pretty generic, like how the focused on the reboot storyline of a younger Lara but it was ok. Some intense scenes throughout but nothing out of the ordinary. It's currently 51% on RT, I'd agree to that. They had a tease for a sequel, but I wouldn't be disappointed if they didn't make one.
