good thing basketball isn't a one on one game. its obvious that hill is as good as his teammates, and he sure has some good ones that can find him on the floor(which is why people thought he struggled during summer league). hill isnt a go to guy that can create by himself all the time, but is great at being a garbage man. not saying that he isnt working hard on his post moves etc because he has tons of potential more than alexander johnson.
I actually like Hill and the fact that Johnson 'killed' him in the practice does not matter to me. I mean really, it was just an easy-going one on one game. Do you think those guys cared? Chuck Hayes looks like Ray Allen shooting those 15 footers in practice and what? And really, <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/eGDBR2L5kzI?fs=1&hl=pl_PL"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/eGDBR2L5kzI?fs=1&hl=pl_PL" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
lol normally i'd say that's true, but back then the 76ers were basically "pass the ball to AI and get out the way" so what he was saying was probably true.
On the thread topic, I liked Alexander Johnson quite a bit in summer league. I don't know how his game translates in the actual NBA, but I wouldn't mind having him on the roster if there's an open spot for a big. If nothing else, he could be a great practice player.
AJ is a 5 playin in the paint against J-Hill, an athletic 4, 1 on 1 its not gonna work. just like during the summer leauge, he was PLAYING OUT OF POSITION! i doubt he will ever be a 5. but in the RA offence , ESPECIALLY if we r gonna try n play an up-tempo offence, J-Hills abilities should be a valuable asset. also he's gonna be helpful if RA is gonna go deep in2 the bench 2 keeps the vets legs fresh come playoffs... i'm just tryin 2 keep my hopes up i guess, we saw some flashes near the end of last season- like anothr postr mentioned he creates his own match-up problems, i remembr that game with lopez, and othrs where once hill was in the lay-up line would stop (boston celtic, blocked shots anyone?). right now he's fantastic as a garbage man, check out his offensive rebounds, so here's hoping he continues to develop in2 a great player. btw, kevin martin exposes himself... freakin hilarious!
