Martin AVERAGES over 23 ppg, no one on this team is capable of that...

Martin several years removed from his prime years? He's in his prime years right now. His shooting has been somewhat inconsistent especially as of late but overall, they're fine. He's not the problem but I doubt we can get fair value in a form of a big man for him through trade.

instead of ellis or curry, how bout one of those big tall guys that play close the basket and block and rebound and make players reluctant to drive into the lane?

Mayo and Thabeet seem like guys Morey would be after.

That would be ideal. Big men are the hardest to get. Curry would be a very solid player to obtain. Ellis, not so much.

Kevin Martin has the third best TS% of his career, and he is number 3 overall on 3 pointers made in the NBA, and his shooting is declining... He is 28...

    Makes sense...

Are you seriously arguing Kevin Martin peaked in his third and fourth years in the league?

The only big man that would be realistic to trade Martin for is Noah and he is untouchable.

Management never said "rebuild". Only clutchfans did.

Exactly. People are making assumptions but rebuilding never came from the Rockets organization. Not only that, Les wants to win now. He doesn't want to blow it all up and wait who knows how many years to be relevant again.

sigh ...Why won't Morey just commit to rebuilding and trade scola and martin for expirings and picks, their the reason were going to be stuck around .500 instead of being a bottom team with a higher draft position.

Once howard, paul and d.will team up in La or new york their won't be any more impact players left, our best option is gambling in the lottery for a franchise player.

I would rather go this route now rather than wait another 2-3 seasons trying to get the 8th seed with martin and scola leading the way.

Because if Morey did that, he'd probably be out of his job pretty soon.

Brooks has his peak trade value. Now he's fighting to see the floor. It's almost like we have to hold on to him to get his value back up.

Is Brooks sucking on purpose so he won't get traded? No trade means that he doesn't have to find a new home elsewhere, I suppose...

His value is at its absolute lowest. Its idiotic to trade him right now.
