Ha ha! Your sig reminds me of deep thoughts by Jack Handey only a lot less sarcastic and more philosophic.
Great aquisition!! As far as smaller quicker OL prospects go, they usually go lower in the draft, since most teams want the BIG BOYS. Also since the blocking scheme is what makes the RB, we can get one later in the draft. I think we'll trade down to pick up another 1st & a 2nd or 2 2nds to address OL,CB & RB
Well, no need now to get a high profile RB in the draft. Alex Gibbs is a genius - pure, unquestioned mastermind of the O-Line. A 3rd-6th round selection in the '08 draft should work fine. Check out the thoroughbreads he brought through his system..... 95-98 - Terell Davis (6th Round) 1603 yds (avg), 4.8 ypc (avg) 1999 - Olandis Gary (4th Round) 1159 yds, 4.2 ypc 2000 - Mike Anderson (6th Round) 1487 yds, 5.0 ypc 2001 - RBC (Davis, Gary, Anderson) 1607 yds, 4.0 ypc 2002 - Clinton Portis (2nd Round) 1508 yds, 5.5 ypc 2003 - Clinton Portis (2nd Round) 1591 yds, 5.5 ypc After Gibbs, still productive! 2004 - Ruben Droughns (3rd Round) 1240 yds, 4.5 ypc 2005 - RBC (Anderson, Tatum Bell - 2nd Round) 1935 yds, 4.7 ypc 2006 - RBC (T. Bell, Mike Bell - Undrafted FA) 1702 yds, 4.4 ypc 2007 - RBC (Travis Henry - 2nd Round, Selvin Young - Undrafted FA) 1420 yds, 4.6 ypc Pretty solid body of work - and laying the groundwork for the future in Denver.
