no way they trade the next Superstar. Even if they did trade him, they better get 2 current all stars under 30 years old in return.
They would almost certainly get elite starting pitching.... Probably from the White Sox. I have heard zero reports he is being dealt but it is odd he isn't up. The White Sox GM earlier today said they are willing to be sellers but they want players ready to play now over lower level prospects. Astros have long loved Jose Abreu and their love of Sale is well known. Quintana is also another highly underrated talent under team control for years. Seems unlikely but maybe a package centered around Bregman and Reed for Abreu and Sale/Quintana is being discussed. I just find it odd that Bregman hasn't been called up yet.
The dude is 22 and a college bat. Fresno doesn't need a title. His value to the team for this season decreases each day he's in Triple A. Trade him for something big or play him in the bigs.
Still think they are waiting to tomorrow and dfa'ing worth. I'm sure that's been mentioned here, but I didn't take the time to look. I'd say it happens tomorrow.
Semi-realistic targets I would be on trading Bregman for: Goldschmidt Trout Myers Quintana Sale Archer
I guess that's true...he didn't say they were calling him up tonight. Any particular advantage to waiting till tomorrow?
