Even though he is 0-9, at least his at bats look good. There are few pitches he looks overwhelmed (compared to Jake, for example). I also like that he is old school and appears to choke down a bit with two strikes. He will start getting hits. Speaking of Jake, the guy gets a double... then gets thrown out trying to steal third. And it wasn't even close. He is a fast guy, would have likely scored on any hit... curious as to whether Pettis sent him or if he went on his own.
Based on Hinch's reaction, I'm guessing that was all Jake. I know he was trying to move up so he could tag up on a fly-out by Castro, but that was a terrible decision given the circumstances. You would much rather have been on 2nd with 2 outs with Springer coming up to bat, when taking into account the risk of trying to steal 3rd. My guess is that if we had only been up by 1 or 2 runs, he wouldn't have gone.
The Bregman Curse is a tough one. He's got that New Mexico Native American spiritualism plus the LSU coonass swamp voodoo.
The goodnews on Bregman is that his approach will start netting him multi-hit games in bunches, just needs to get off the snide first. But keeping in spirit of the discussion, bleep you Jobu, Bregman will do it himself.
He's 0-24 going back to his last few games in AAA? Rasmus faints  Kid will be just fine. Once that first hit comes he'll go on a roll
