There will definitely be struggles... but he's immediately the type of player who will do whatever it takes to contribute. Move the runner over, work the count, contact when needed.... so many ways to help the overall lineup when you add somebody with as many good tools as him.
That's tough. Bregman is not nearly (nobody is) as good a "bad ball" hitter as Altuve. A lot of Altuve's hits to RF/RCF are pitches he just kinda flicks the bat at and gets knocks. Altuve also kills high pitches. Bregman doesn't chase quite like that, but has the same bat control to do it, and like Altuve will rip hittable balls on the outside corner to CF/RF. But yeah, they both have short quick swings and when they do really swing they swing really hard. Bregman's strike zone judgement is better than Altuve's at this point in their respective developments. With Marwin going down for a bit, I'd guess Val at 1B and Bregman at 3rd, Colby/Jake/Tucker in LF. No. Well he technically could, but he won't no matter what he does. Next year depends on if he gets 130 ABs (they use ABs and not PAs which is kinda strange), or 45 days on the 25-man but that date has already passed. No. Awesome.
RF Springer LF Bregman 2B Altuve SS Correa 1B Valbuena (replaced by Reed next season) 3B Gurriel DH Tucker/White C Gattis/Castro CF Gomez (replaced by Marisnick next season) Sick lineup.
I'm rooting for one of them to get hot. In the long run and in the playoffs I think Rasmus will probably be the guy.
Rasmus will turn it around again...he's known to go into slumps. Plus, we need Playoffs Rasmus ready!!!
i'm waiting for the official official announcement, went scoop berman stalks him at the airport to ask him, "what are your emotions?"
That fool who tweeted it last time had me so excited. Glad its real this time. Wonder where he plays for his first game. I'm gonna guess either LF or DH.
it was a joke, nick. don't take everything so seriously. It's just a funny thing mark does to houston athletes.
