I'm sure Bradley, Betts, Bogaerts, and Ortiz sounds a bit scarier. And that doesn't factor in some former MVP that is still a very good player in Dustin Pedroia.
Guess my move to pick up Bregman will hopefully pay off sooner than I thought. I think Worth will be sent down but be kept on the 40. Peacock and Chapman are no longer in any plans and there are prospects well ahead of them should there be injury concerns. One of them will be released.
Yeah, at the moment Boston still has the most stacked lineup in baseball. However, I think all the guys you mentioned have hit or are near their high-point for the season, whereas I still think our guys have room before hitting their ceilings. If those guys in Boston's lineup get better over what they've done already, they are liking hoisting the WS trophy, even with their suspect pitching. Also, I'm hoping Bregman comes in on fire, but also going to try and be realistic

The GM has a say, if not a bigger say in who gets called up. And have you been paying attention to this forum? Other posters that post with such hate like you have been getting banned from the Astros forum.
Funny...same could be said about what you post. Why you think it's 100% Hinch's fault that Bregman won't be called up just yet is beyond me.
Further... why be mad about it? The team is on an incredible run - why not just enjoy it while it lasts and not worry about **** we can't control?...

I don't really understand Hinch's thinking. If the kid can help you, why wait to bring him up? It seems like a really dumb idea to pass up an opportunity to have him help you now while you wait for a moment when you will desperately need him.
Guys, this is a Luhnow decision and nothing more. Hinch has barely any say in the matter. Luhnow runs this show. I have no doubt Bregman will be up soon but WTH is up with this Jim Bowden tweet that turned out to be completely false? His tweet seemed like it was a foregone conclusion. Another example of twitter and journalism failing again. I can't stand this media age.
Since when would Hinch have anything to do with calling him up? This is Lunhow. Hinch is just spinning it, knowing that fans want Bregman and he won't be here this weekend. Nothing more.
What is inaccurate about the tweet? All it says is "as early as this weekend'. Not Bowden's fault that some folks here jumped to conclusions.
Bowden's tweet does say as "early as this weekend" so I guess he is still on the hook. Looking at Astros and Grizzlies schedule, Astros are away until next Friday for a 6 game homestand against Angels and Yankees. The Grizzlies play @ New Orleans tomorrow and end in Round Rock on Next Thursday. I bet we get word that he has been officially called up next Thursday evening or Friday morning.
Ummm yall do realize that hinch was hired to have the same vision as Luhnow right? Hinch makes roster decisions as well in regards to who should be up and who should not. Bregman needs to be up. I don't know if you have noticed but our offense has been hit or miss all season. Hell, we barely took 2 games from the damn A's.
