Always good to have a guy like that on the roster just in case we need to change things up... See DAVID LEE in finals

The cruelty of fate! That team with healthy Yao and Deke would have hoisted the trophy!

I feel exactly this. On a bright note; My Scola jersey is relevant again. Hes still one of my favorite hard nosed Rocket of all time.

Assuming the price is the vet minimum, why would anyone not want a proven big man who put up close to 10/7 in 20 minutes/game last year? Add to that a hard worker, great leader and locker-room presence, etc. What exactly is the downside? You would rather see that last roster spot for bigs go to Joey Dorsey?

Scola's not going to coach anytime soon. When he's done playing professionally he's headed straight to his local suburban league.

looks like im in the minority. i dont think we need scola with our loaded frontcourt. smith and dmo can make threes and at least one of htem is gonna get better so thats good enough for stretch 4. plus there's less defense, something we need more of.

not gonna bring smith back if this is true :(

DMo, Smith, Jones, Scola is excellent depth!
Howard, Capella. Dorsey is gone. Trade filler.
    Ariza, Daniels.
    Harden, Terry.
    Llull, 1st.
Barring a trade that is your 15/16 Rockets.

After he coaches the Rockets to play hard they will be formidable.

Scola just doesn't make any sense on this team. We already have too many people and too little minutes up front. He is old. He is worse than last time he played here. Much worse. He had really bad stretches in Indiana. Long stretches. He is not an upgrade over any other of our PFs. I am totally sure he's not signing with Houston. I say this just to bump the thread when season starts and say "I told you so".

I will take a 40 year old Scola over the three dummies the Rockets trot out there now.

Would you rather have Scola or keep Joey Dorsey, because that seems like the either/or here.

He look ok within the context of that terrible team. The lower minutes seemed to help him get to the line and rebound more. I wouldn't expect him to be a huge contributor on this team, but if we have to pay a guy to sit around and provide "veteran leadership" there is no one who deserves it more.

Not saying he's coming, but you're nuts if you'd keep Joey over Scola.

The only PF the rockets should go after is Draymond Green, and then play him at the three spot

    Lawson
    Harden
    Green
    Jones
    Howard

    Oh baby
