Scott Padgett has been giving us quality minutes at the power forward spot. He is great in a pick and roll situation. Getting Oakley would put Padgett at the end of the bench.

Oakley's lack of production would keep him at the end of the bench. He couldn't even get many minutes for the lowly Wizards last year. Padgett has been great this year and is very deserving of more PT.

I wouldn't look at Oakley under any circumstance. Well, maybe I would if I as looking to hire a bodyguard.

Rockets need to bring Derek Harper out of retirement. The bags under his eyes would rival that of JVG, plus he was an ex-Knick too!

Might as well get Rodman while we're at it.

Hey... I wonder what kind of shape Elvin Hayes is in?

It really doesn't matter if we get ex-Knicks, ex-Jazz, or ex-anyteam players. Bottom line is: can they play? Will they bring value to the team? This is exactly why I had no problem with them bringing on Patrick Ewing as a coach, or JVG, or Mark Jackson. If coach feels they can help improve the team, I wouldn't care if he brought on Dale Ellis, Ricky Pierce, Doug West, or any of the former Rocket-killers I used to hate. If they can help, power to him.

That being said, Oakley sucks and we need to lay off this one.

I know what's JVG is trying to do.. he is trying to put an old timer knicks team on the practice floor everyday...
    the lineup so far is..

    MJ
    Ewing
    Spoon

now, he only needs a shooting guard and another forward.. oakley would fit right in... and then maybe H. davis.. or starks.

Request to the Raptors: Please, PLEASE beat us to Oakley. :D

Do we not have scouts? Why is it that the only players we go after are ex-Knicks? Surely there are other players with skills similar to the players JVG had in his NY rotations. JVG is like some kind of mafia boss; he only brings in guys who he has prior relationships with.

I think we've figured it out guys, JVG was sent here to infiltrate the Rockets and take revenge for 94. But he's going about it the wrong way. He should be trying to assemble an all Rockets roster on the Knicks instead of an all Knicks roster on the Rockets.

Can you imagine this team in the East? 82-0 BABY!
