Because there isn't much else to write about that hasn't been thoroughly discussed already.

It's going to be a long offseason.... everyone wants the season to start already.

We are more talented, we're just not as experienced. There's going to be some growing pains that will result in losses.

There is a possibility. Dalembert was so inconsistent last year and Lowry dropped off defensively last year. Camby was great, I agree with you, but injuries plagued his maximum potential.

To replace the defensive players lost, I am sure Asik will be able to hold the fort down well, at a very possible case scenario, an elite level. Losing Scola means wonders defensively, and a healthy PPat is a great PnR defender and has athleticism to help in the block or even contest shots some. Parsons had great defence last year, but often times, coming off screens and getting out of position happened (he was a rookie, it is acceptable). With training camp, there is reason to believe he can even improve.

Losing Lee hurts; Martin and Lamb both do not impress defensively to state nicely , but hopefully McHale adjusts according to defensive matchups utilizing Parsons to guard elite SG's like he did last year on Kobe. Terrence Jones can be a plus defender to guard SF's then. His defensive potential is very high.

Jeremy Lin is not known for his defence, period. Those people arguing how he makes hustle plays, had low PPP given up, etc., don't realize how good Tyson Chandler meant for his defence and the Knicks in general. On the other hand, he is not KMart awful and does not have a reputation for being downright terrible defensively. Lin is young, with his size, length, quickness, and bball IQ, he can improve defensively. Will he be a stud on that end of the floor? No, but with Asik, Parsons, PPat, Jones, he will not have to be. To be honest, how many people can actually stop a Westbrook or Rose other than Lebron or Iguodala? They are a matchup nightmare for EVERY defence, so the Rockets will survive somehow like the rest of the league.

Good read, he put a lot of time into it to discuss all 30 teams intelligently.

Correct. In the long run we might end up with better players than we had on the old roster but as currently constructed we are going to struggle. The team has no chemistry, very little experience, and only one player on the entire roster that has started for a full NBA season. Talent/upside won't be able to make up for the complete lack of experience and chemistry.

That can be said for a lot of players in the NBA not just pg's. The presence of a DPOY Center improves the defense of every individual player that steps on the floor.

I agree. Tyson Chandler was the best thing that happened for the Mavericks in that one year and is now the best thing happening for the Knicks. He would cover up the Jeremy Lin and the Knick's mistakes on defence.

Hopefully Asik can be that guy for us. Realistically, I don't think he will be that good but definitely an improvement over the Bear and hurt Camby.

Yea what a stupid comment to say....
Love is a stud though maybe a tad overrated. Rubio is a great defender and playmaker. Pekovic is a good center. Derrick Williams has upside though I am not sure if he will ever reach it since I don't think he is an SF. He won't get minutes with Love as the PF. They also have Kirilenko and B. Roy.... Very high chances of making the playoffs and even making some noise.

I'm not so sure about that. Consider the Knicks last year, and how Jeremy was able to do a lot with role players. Our rooks are more than just skilled in a few areas. They have high b-ball IQs. There's definitely going to be some growing pains, but I wouldn't be surprised if we won 35-40 games.

Why are we having a nice offseason and supposed to have a more talented team than last season but somehow we are the 2nd worst team in power ranking?
