Typical Republicans, every which way to limit voting. Restricting early voting, requiring ID cards, closing DMV offices, fewer polling places, yadda yadda.

 

The roaches disappear when they have to engage in a logical discussion . Bobbythewhatever usually shows up, but probably because he is mentally handicapped and a glutton for the punishment others level on him.

 

They're going from 33 offices down to four for the entire state; I don't see how whites aren't getting any more inconvenienced or screwed than blacks on this issue. I'd be curious to know if they've invested more in online capabilities or maybe have some third party businesses offering DL service. I don't know if this is as much a voter suppression tactic as just really selfish and impractical fiscal austerity.

 

The specific locations that are being closed down is too much of a coincidence. It's voter suppression.

 

The locations being closed have the lowest number amount of traffic according to what the news said last night. Said that closing the locations saved $11,000,000 and only cut a small % of DMV traffic.

I don't have time right now to look into it further right now but I agree with Yank that it lacks context. I certainly wouldn't rule out racism but without further context I am not going to assume it either.

 

Agreed. Might be targeting poor blacks, but damn when you close nearly all of them I imagine tons of communities are affected. What do the demographics look like for the communities that the reaming 4 are in?
