The international community has offered to help. They have offered to help with training new Iraqi security forces. But the Bush administration wants the training done in Iraq, the other nations want to do it outside of IRaq, so Bush doesn't accept their help.

If other people are going to be involved they need to have a say in how it is done. That would be especially true since the people in charge of this one, have made such an amazing mess of such things.

You're just about as predictable as they come around here. Ignore the substance and bash the poster. Rove would be proud. Not sure how you decided I was drunk, by the by. I am pretty frustrated, that's true. It's a drag to continually respond to demands of explanation for my position and then have the demanders run away. But I should be used to it by now. Clap louder, texxx. We're just about ten pro-Bush headlines from victory.

You're right, giddy. If only France and cf.net BBS war opponents would stop sniping, this thing would be won already. Bush willfully alienated an unprecedentedly strong coalition of allies by starting this war against strong international opposition. It's on him to get them back.

Sounds good to me. I studied a little Muay Thai and watched Ong Bak; Thai Warrior last night. ;)

Of course for those not up on those arts we could always have a [/i]Westside Story[/i] type face off. I've been working on my finger snapping, upturned my collar and am ready to lead the Sharks into a dance off.. I mean battle.

Of course Basso living in close proximity to Broadway might defeat us all in Broadway musical combat.

Tell us again why Russian, France and Germany didn't want to get on-board for the big ass-whupping?

We alienated nobody; they abandoned us, thank you...

Yeah I'm an idiot for celebrating our brave troops' progress in the war on terror.

Open your mind, friend - it's clearly closed off right now due to your political biases.

its this mindset which got us in the crappy situation we are now in (iraq).

when we were actually going after those responsible for 9/11 we had plenty of support.

I don't think the Russians, French and Germans stayed out because of their fear of the US...

Um....there is no "War on Terror". You can't beat "terror."

Its now the "Global Struggle Against Extremism".

Please consult your talking points before continuing the debate.

Because in the end they were doing the right thing? They didn't abandon anyone. We were fools for starting the thing in Iraq, and they were correct in not participating.

Of course we haven't been able to provide stability at all in Iraq, there were no WMD's, and we aren't making progress on gaining control of the country.

Prior to the election there were govt. officials who were correct about everything that has happened, and they were saying for it, and planning for it, before the invasion. Bush has gotten rid of all the govt. officials who were correct, and now we are in the current mess.

Yeah, let's stay the course. We are whuppin so much ass.

P.S: Your trivialization of something as horrific and directly resulting in the loss of thousands of lives as an "ass-whupping" is pitiful and disgusting. I guess the sanctity of human life doesn't mean much anymore. War is not a game.
