    What a shame.

Awesome player and humble person. He has so much potential.

    Feel bad for the guy.

    1. He gets left off of the All Star reserve list
    2. He goes down with a torn ACL
    3. When he comes back, he's still on that godawful team

The guy deserves better luck considering he's one of the few (if not the ONLY one from what I can remember) players that took LESS money than to go all out and ask for a MAX contract.

An interesting observation of mine from the other thread about David Wests Flagrant foul. If you watch the flagrant by David West on Mike Miller you can see just how humble, calm and non-abrasive Jefferson really is. Almost to a fault in this particular situation. He calmly walks towards David West and the Ref and what does he do? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Now I'm not condoning this type of behavior but I'm speaking on a hypothetical term because it's so common in the game nowadays. I can think of a number of different players in the NBA who would've started crap and instigated the situation to another level if they were in Jefferson's shoes. Imagine if Jefferson did do something like shoved David West or got in his face at least and got thrown out as well? He wouldn't have torn his ACL at the final seconds. Kinda crazy how things happen or don't happen sometimes.

I wish Jefferson a speedy and full recovery though he's one of my favorite players for all the reasons everyone's listed. Humble, class act, hard worker, not a big ego etc etc.

thats absolutely unfair to say if the got in his face and got thrown out he would havent gotten injured....if anything he did the right thing...he is the teams best player there was no fight/skirmish involved so dont start one. his team needed him out on the court in game that was very winnable with the hornets missing paul. his injury was just a result of extremely bad luck and nothing else.

i really do hope he comes back 100% next season or beginning of 2010 he is one of the few young bright spots in the league. hopefully this will allow the other players on the wolves to step up and build confidence in their own game. the wolves have some decent pieces for the future they could be a team to reckon with in the next few seasons.

He absolutely did the right thing. I'm just saying that the "right thing" is not so common though and many other players might have caused a skirmish but he didn't for the reasons stated... humble, calm, non abrasive etc.
