Although I would love to finally have a competent free throw shooting big man, saying that it would open up the offense because opponents wouldn't be hacking Dwight means nothing if we are planning to pair Horford alongside the hackable Capela, who's FT% was even worse last year than Dwight's. God I hate watching teams hack a player. So terrible. I can't wait until the NBA changes that rule.
Player doesn't give Rockets a meeting=bad news for Rockets, nobody wants to play here Player gives the Rockets a meeting=means nothing
Wonder who is leading our pitch? Morey? Mda? Or Harden? If only we still had Parsons to do the pitching......he at least knows how to do that.....
I disagree. I would very much start Horford alongside Capela with DMo as the first big off the bench. Both Horford's and DMo's biggest weaknesses are rebounding. Starting them together would, IMO, just compound that weakness. Also, IMO, I think Horford and Capela's opposite styles of play would complement each other better than Horford and DMo. That way you have Capela setting screens and cutting to the basket for dunks/putbacks and can have Horford spreading the floor for jumpers, 3's, pick and pops, etc. Although I would definitely say that both combinations should be tried out to see for sure.
I didn't say that at all. Just surprised that the negativity has so badly infected this place that literally every news story gets twisted to be a bad thing.
How bout Hakeem Olajuwon, Clyde Drexler and John Lucas plus the addition of a random stripper from Dreams.
The most pessimistic NBA fan base. Look at the vitriol spewed towards Doc then Cyber. Posters wanted an excuse to whine and this season gave them a dozen.
You're correct... But Atlanta also doesn't want to lose him to the Celtics or Pistons... So it doesn't mean they want give him the 5th year. I see Al as using the Rockets as leverage, but we will see... T_Man
Every FA does that, Conley using Dallas as leverage to get the fifth year also. There are not better alternatives this year.
Brewer won two NCAA titles with Horford at Florida But I think Coach Donovan's Florida connection will trump Brewer. If I were Horford, I'd take a discount to play for Donovan again, and KD/Westbrook We have no chance
How can Houston be used as leverage? Every team is going to offer Horford the max allowed. Without exception. Who out there is holding just a little back...until they learn Horford has--wait for it--taken a meeting with the Houston Rockets?! I'm skeptical as hell in general--Les Alexander is a ****tard. But the Rockets-as-leverage line of skepticism makes no logical sense.
There are people here that would spin news of Durant signing with the Rockets as a bad thing. There's just a ton of awful "Rockets fans" that post here.
If we're getting his first meeting, we have a chance. Whether it's a good chance is up for debate, but we'll see.
