That worked out so well the first time with Pringles; who at one point benched Pau for Earl Clark because he was a better fit for the "system". Doubt Pau would come here; he didn't want to before and he sure as hell won't want to under MDA. Oh but everyone will want to sign because Pringles gets them paid; didn't you know?

Where has Pau indicated 'hate' for MDA? Once Dwight left the Lakers, I thought that sorted itself out... [USA Today] Pau Gasol, Mike D'Antoni clear up 'uncomfortable' air
Pau would be a Le$ move so he can gun for 8th seed again next year. Pau is too old and by the time Morey can somehow get enough talent to compete for a championship again Pau will be retired.
this is the worst possible outcome. horford doesn't want to return to the hawks, so we can't even get anything out of a possible Dwight SnT
All indications were he was signing here. It was almost as bad as DeAndre Jordan's reversal only Bosh was not quoted. Miami caved and gave him what he wanted. He went with them. We were literally left at the alter. I get that free agency and draft night can lead to elevated expectations and major letdowns, especially when we have a forum of insiders. But to attack moves made years ago is just an emotional reaction to feeling letdown in the second day of this year's free agency. It's a new market, and the money being thrown around is ridiculous. This is an early adopters period in which many teams will feel buyer's remorse as early as next year. Not saying the salaries shouldn't be this high, I'm saying some lower tier role players got tier 2 contracts. That's because no one knows how to value the market currently. It's all a discovery phase. I'm ok with not making it rain for the sake of adding new talent regardless of level. The only time I'd overpay is if it's a 2 year deal with a team option on the second year. Also, Morey has been the GM since 2007. We should all know by now that his bread and butter is trades. Free agency has not been kind to him. So I'm all for keeping the flexibility even if it means having a slow offseason. Why would you want to take away ammunition from the gun Morey shoots best? There's been a slew of chicken littles with every transaction that does not go the Rockets' way. Not saying you're one. Just saying they have influenced the moods of some decent posters here. Seems like nowadays, the posts here are for a clever joke or something. Don't let them get to you.
