    The force that will be applied will be from the state at the point of a gun if Gore has his way.

    He isn't interested in persuading you to change your lifestyle (voluntarily), he's interested in persuading politicians to get the state to force you to change your lifestyle.

    He wants to force people to drive certain types of vehicles and live a certain type of lifestyle. The force is applied through legislation/regulation, ultimately at the point of a gun (as all state power comes down to).

    He's using the state to compel individual behavior, it's bad when religious nuts do it, and it's just as bad when environmental nuts do it.

    Leave me alone. I like my SUV and my apartment at 72 degrees, don't tell me how to live my life.
