i won't go into the rest of your rant because it was idiotic, but could you please elaborate upon the above quote?
you guys are all the same. the world will never go back to 2000. but i agree, he does have the intelligence and experience... but there are still 2 years between now and the presidential election, so many many things can happen.
I agree on Immagration esp the states most affected by it If a senator in South Dakota has an opinion on it and wants to enforce it .. . Does it affect his state as much as Texas, New Mexico, California , Arizona? That being said Gore has did something I did not think was possible since his loss. . . he has become APOLITICAL He is not associate with the weak spined crapheap that is the democrats [well not as much as he once was] and of course he is not republican If he run . . .He will be seen as a Demo that is 'Not like the Others' Rocket River
If Gore ran in '08, he would be the prohibitive favorite to win the Democratic nomination. He would beat most Republicans in the general election. I don't think that Gore wants to do it again, though.

Idiotic rant? Excellent counterpoint. Like I said, when you lived abroad, this country is MILES/LIGHT YEARS ahead of anywhere I have seen. Old school? 1997. Olajuwon. Drexler. Rhodes. Dickerson. The first April Fools joke.
I didn't say blindly bow down and worship the government. People run democracies. The problem is that this country is ASLEEP because there are tons of people that just accept the fact that...well, that we are headed towards fascism. Yet, I don't see anyone posting about moving to Denmark or Austria or London for that matter. Can't be that bad. America is NOT the government. America is the IDEA. Bush is the government. And you can always change that part....unless you scare the population to death and you end up voting for the wrong candidate like I did.
I've traveled around the world (literally... PanAm gave me a plaque) and been to dozens of countries, and while we are clearly head and shoulders above the majority, in many ways, there are several countries arguably as advanced, and more advanced, than the US... economically, politically, and culturally. Some of the countries considered poor by the casual viewer have rich cultural histories, and much to offer. Just thought I'd throw that in there. Almu, I wish you could post the first April Fools joke. Seriously. I'd love to see it! Keep D&D Civil.
Almu 1. just because you are the best . . . does not mean you cannot improve. 2. Just because you are the best. . . does not mean you cannot back slide toward Facism. If you are the freest or the free. . and the next day you less free tha does mean you are moving to facism . . .you just got alot further to go to it. . than say . . .some other countries. Rocket River
why thank you. look almu, i have lived abroad and i spend a lot of time away from the states every year. LIGHT YEARS ahead is a totally relative thing, as deckard pointed out. you came at me with your dick hanging out and throwing all kinds of assumptions about me after i was responding directly to rhester about his post in general and specifically the link he provided. no, the government is not america, but bush is trying to change that, this is the point. you posted a link to the definition of fascism, did you read it? here it is again: fascism is a radical totalitarian political philosophy that combines elements of corporatism, authoritarianism, extreme nationalism, militarism, anti-anarchism, anti-communism and anti-liberalism. put your dick away and post the april fool's joke instead. i'm sure it's a lot more impressive.
Because we aren't ignorant enough to be put off by one picture, when we have ideas, and ideals to consider.
Unless the magical "service to the country" fairy climbs up Gore's butt again there's no chance he'll get back into politics. I wish he would though, there's a lot of people who would be really excited to vote for him in 08.
I agree. Like Nixon, (again, it pains me to use him as an analogy, but it works) Gore has learned from his political defeat. He won't make the same blunders he made in the election that he won in 2000. If the Supreme Court had not made it's partisan 5-4 decision to place Bush in the office he holds now, so much would be different, and America, in my opinion, would be better off. Much, much better off, as would the world. Gore would make a better President now, then he would have then, despite clearly standing head and shoulders above Bush. I'd vote for Gore in a New York minute. I hope he changes his mind about running. Keep D&D Civil.
