Kaufman was actually a good change of pace back, he had ridiculous speed, just too small to handle starting duties. When they resurrected Tyrone Wheatley, those two were awesome together as Thunder and Lightning. Along with Zack Crockett, the touchdown machine... that running game was totally legit.

Kaufman was from my hometown of Lompoc, CA. I will never forget the game in 97 where he torched the Broncos for 227 yards, we sucked major ass that year, but if you can beat the Broncos who won the Super Bowl that year, that'll last you for a long time.

James Jett and Rocket Ismail, yeah lets stick 2 speed freaks by Tim Brown and see what happens! Jett was dynamite in 97 though man, I think he caught 12 TDs that year, something like 17 ypc. It was all because Al finally got his mitts on The next mad-bomber... Jeff George. The manic man who could throw a football... really far.

Jeff George was the perfect QB for James Jett though. All George could do was frantically try to throw the ball up high before getting sacked and all Jett could do was run under it and hope it somehow landed between his chest and arm. George even wore #3, Al must have been having flashbacks of Daryle Lamonica and Warren Wells that year.
