Guys, I know that a lot of you are probably against him being suspended but I don't see how he does NOT get suspended. The Seymour thing was not on this level. Multiple punches were thrown and landed and helmets were off as well. I hope he doesn't get suspended but if he does I completely understand why.
I really think the biggest factor that would lead to Johnson NOT being suspended is the fact that Finnegan has a pretty bad reputation around the league. I mean, there's a reason why every single media outlet that reports the fight makes it a point to say that Finnegan is widely regarded as the "DIRTIEST PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE." Andre has a pretty pristine record and everybody (including the league offices) knows that Finnegan WANTED to provoke AJ. I would understand if he WAS suspended, but I think this is one of those instances where you know that the guy involved would never do anything like this again (Johnson obviously....not Finnegan. He's a punk b****).
The Seymour and AJ situations could not be more different. Luckily, the circumstances could not be better for the Texans. AJ has the best reputation in the NFL while Finn has the worst. If anyone walks away without a suspension, its AJ
I'll be disappointed with the NFL if AJ isn't suspended. You can't throw punches at guys with their helmets off. The NFL cannot tacitly endorse jumping on a guy's back and pounding him in the head three times, regardless of how much he provoked it. If it was our guy, dirty or not, we'd be screaming for a suspension right about now.

I also thought it was funny that Finnegan got up laughing and clapping like him getting Johnson thrown out the game was a big deal. The score was 19-0 with not much time left. Finnegan was probably embarrassed and try to play it off but getting up clapping and laughing.
I think the results of this will be suspensions but the bigger result will be Finnegan will be on a short leash the rest of the year. I would expect him to get ejected from the next Texan Titan game quickly Rocket River
From the highlight I saw, Ben was on the ground and Seymour hit him. And lol at you saying AJ got fined last year. Acting like he fought last year. I love the people trying to label AJ a punk or thug.
Provide a link. Because every highlight I've seen, including those just above, have everyone standing when the punch is thrown. When did I say that? "lol at you" putting words in my mouth. He *did* fight last year. He didn't throw a punch, but tell ya what, I'll come over to your house and grab you by your facemask and throw you to the ground, and you tell me whether it's on. Whatever. I'm saying he deserves a suspension; in no way am I "labeling him a punk or a thug." Why does he have to be a punk or a thug to deserve a suspension? He's a class guy who lost his cool and should have to pay the piper like anyone else.
I think Johnson should get suspended but his penalty definitely should be much less than Finnegan's. Multiple punches were thrown while Finnegan's helmet was off and at that point I don't see how Johnson isn't suspended. I'm not saying Johnson is a thug or that Finnegan didn't deserve it but for what is left of the integrity of the game Johnson should be suspended. Given Johnson's comments after the game I think he knows that too.
I like Charean Williams' suggestion on First Take this morning, suspend them both but make it for the next Texans/Titans game.
