Hey! You think that's pitiful? Take a look at the McNair thread where there are fools who are saying Bud Adams is the better owner because the Oilers went to the playoffs.

Wishful thinking. Clearly, Finnegan was out to start something. He should have been flagged for that hands to face pop he put on AJ. And given his history, it's certainty he'll get at least a 1 game suspension.

But the league's decision won't be about anything but what transpired on the field and AJ doesn't look good on any of the video I've seen. Simply put: you can't have players ripping off helmets and punching each other out on the ground. The video makes AJ look like the aggressor - he was on top of Finnegan punching him in the head. Last week it was Seymour popping Roethlisberger in the face. No suspension just a fine. Now this week, things escalate to a full brawl on the field. Knowing the NFL, it will be time to send a message that this ain't the WWE.

It's not about personality. Andre could be the biggest sports star in Houston, if he wanted to. He just doesn't like doing all that extra stuff. He rather just play football and leave all that mainstream media stuff for other folks.

AJ will/should get suspended. I loved that he did that to Innegan but Goodell isn't going to make an exception for AJ. He threw punches which is an automatic suspension no matter how you look at it.

Aren't being low-key and being humble considered personality traits?

If he is suspended, can he appeal and postpone the suspension a week or 2? They don't have any kind of chance without him the next two weeks
I wouldn't take him too seriously, he is probably still drunk from last night.

Exactly. I don't get why people say he has no personality. Just because he isn't outgoing and off the wall. Not to mention we only see him on camera. So we don't fully know his personality when he's not playing football.

If he's suspended, the BEST game for him to be out for is this one vs. Philly.

Richard didn't see who he punched. He felt someone and throw a blind punch. Andre connected with a combination that would make boxers proud.

If AJ walks away and does nothing.

This board would be SCREAMING for Finnegan to get suspended.
But since AJ beat him down . . . now a lot of radio
is say . . well . . .let boys be boys.

When it is YOUR GUY the rules change.
Had Finnegan somehow manage to get the best of AJ
We'd be screaming something completely different.
    <probably banned for the year>

this is why i think AJ gets suspended. . . you have to be somewhat
    consistant.

If you're consistent then you don't suspend them. Seymour wasn't suspended.

Did Seymour take down, connect with 2 punches to the unprotected head of Ben? I must have missed it.

Andre barely landed those punches. I honestly think Big Ben was hurt more after being pie faced and knocked down, then Cortland was with those glancing blows.

Normally, yes because they will likely lose regardless. But at this point, they pretty much have to win out to make the playoffs. They are not winning without him, they have a small chance with him. They can probably win the final 3 without him.

Yeah, you might have missed it. Seymour hit a defenseless Ben while he was on the ground. Ben didn't see that coming. Was Seymour, play after play, being shoved straight into his facemask? Has Seymour been a quiet, well respected NFL superstar, who has never had ANY type of problem before in the league (after playing in it for 8 seasons)? Finnegan initiated it all. Hell, Finnegan threw the first punch, but Andre still had his helmet on. Andre was smart enough to take Finnegan's helmet off before whipping his ass.

AJ should only get a fine. The league knows he won't do it again. It's not like AJ is out there getting into fights with other CBs in the NFL. It's only Finnegan.
