I just think that broadcast "news" is the problem. CNN, Fox, talk radio - they all have an agenda of pushing advertising in an extremely competitive market. The networks put on whoever will say the craziest **** so people will watch.

The truth is if you've ever worked in journalist (I use that term VERY loosely), you realize that the majority of publishers and owners are conservative while the majority of writers and reporters are liberal. The editors/producers are generally about split down the middle.

It is rare to find a completely un-biased source of information, but it is out there if you look for it. The problem is that real, letitimate investigative reporting has been sacrificed for fast-food reporting. Just get the damn story and get the hell out. As a result, most of the news we get tells us only about 50 percent of the whole story and we are forced to fill in the blanks with the rest of it. Whatever slant is available at the moment is usually the one that fills in that 50 percent.

Watching CNN Headline News, I have noticed that they vebally leave out parts of the story, due to time constraints. But the video usually has the background story details if you know what you are looking for.

That's not exactly what I meant. I can listen to the police ban but not get the whole story on a crime that took place. That requires in-depth reporting and coverage.

Places like CNN and the like don't provide background. They just show it and quickly move on. It's like when a newspaper runs a font-page story about something or someone, but finds out later it was wrong and runs the retraction on page 18. No one even sees the retraction. All we get was the wrong story.

It's one of the main reasons why when people are branded with something: criminal, liar, cheat, fraud, etc., even if it turns out they weren't what was said about them, their reputations are often shot. No one remembers the result, only the accusation.

The problem is us. Everyone of us including myself and yourself.

We are in this era of moral hypocrisy and hatred that has distorted the way we think, talk and react. This problem has sadly entered into our churches and other settings? What is the point of turning a church sermon into a pro or anti war rally? Why should our lecturers and teachers attempt to exert their political persuations every opportunity they get? What about the pilot that felt using his cockpit to put down those who do not share the same faith with him?

The problem once again is us and our laziness and gullibility. Intellectually we have gven up on cerebral exercises. We have become a bunch of myopic and spineless citizens.

I sometimes find myself asking this question - does anyone on the left or right care about what is the best for this nation.....I mean deep down? We are living in "hate" times and all our media/news outlets are dancing to the tone of our insidious demands.

Ultimately, I have a bad spot for hypocrites (even if I fall under this shadow). The sooner our immoral politicians and activists stop using morality to fool and deceive the masses the better and sooner we will snap out of this ugly political era.
