been a lurker on this forum for many years, but after tonight's game, I had to register to show my admiration.
Best not to dwell on this game. If anything, the team should have a great amount of confidence coming home.
I couldn't love this thread more! This team has played with resilience, toughness and heart! Down to starters and on the way to winning to 2 straight in Houston we will take this series! Clutch city 2.0!
Important thread. This loss hurts bad because how hard we fought the whole game and how close we were to pulling it off...but you have to be proud of the team. Yes, we are down 0-2, but if we're gonna re-live CLUTCH CITY again, then it can't be any other way. BELIEVE!
Agreed. Off the court, (i.e. Press conferences, post game etc.) it can sometimes seem like Harden is indifferent to the outcome and isn't truly passionate about the team. Although after seeing how genuine his pain for tonight's loss was, there's no questioning how serious he is about this postseason and this franchise. For a guy that doesn't get a lot of credit where it's due, James Harden battles hard and performs exceptionally well every single night. This season is the beginning of something great. This group still has some time left together. Even if we don't get it done this season, there are still plenty of good times and prosperity to be had.
Smoove was not engaged most of the game. Inbounds plays continue to haunt us. Let's clean it up and get after it.
yeah for sure, i ain't even mad.. disappointed for a second but they fought til the end.. remember guys, we lost our starting PG and PF.. even Dwight is hurting out there..
Same. They are definitely playing all out all the time. We've been down 0-2 before, and we haven't lost any home games, so I think we definitely still have a good chance to win this series.
Good post OP. TBH i did not think we could get so close in the first 2 away games. We've done well so far...only if some fell our way...it could easily be 1-1 or 2-0 our way.
Great thread OP... Devasting way to lose no doubt but damn if our guys didn't play their asses off. We get them at home.
I was wondering if anyone else was feeling not too terrible after these two games. Yeah, they were both right there, but from the way GSW had been built up, they were supposed to be like this unstoppable juggernaut, and we are right there. Frankly, they got luck both times, with some very questionable officiating. I think we win the next two, and make it a 3-game series. And we have already made it clear to GSW that they can't shake us at home. And we should be returning there with a ton of momentum. Shake it off, team.. Now it's your turn for some home cookin'.
I feel the same. Even if we lose the series as long as we go down swinging we can be hopeful about the future. Down 2 starters, no pg, hopefully we have a nice off season and come back strong next season. Just 1 game at a time and this can easily go back to oracle 2-2. Then we just got to steal game 5. Then we got two chances to win 1
I love that regardless of how this series shakes out, we have a legit roster to build on and won't be desperate for the big fish. Will make this off season a little more relaxing as Daryl can really roster build for the first time.... ever with H/H.
I *am* mad. From the no calls on the moving screens and Curry's pushoffs to the media lovefest, I hate Golden State as much as I used to hate the Jazz and Sonics. It's the same kind of dirty.
Rockets can still win, but the series needs to go 6 minimum. Don't want a repeat of Astros '05. Yeah the series was close, but you still got swept. Winning only 1 would be what DAL achieved against us. Rockets need at least 6 especially after that bullcrap last year We can still win though.
You can sense the Rockets are getting more confident in their ability to bounce back against this team. Like McHale said, regular season doesn't matter. I really feel good about this team's chances after seeing these last two games and how hard they played. Go Rockets!
