I didn't appreciate Olajuwon, Ewing, Jordan, Miller, Robinson, Shaq, Wilkins, Drexler etc etc etc enough. The fact that anyone thinks goat is a debate is ****ing laughable to me.
There's never been any solid proof he's been using performance enhancing drugs... But it's hard not to wonder. Granted he went to college for a year, but Chris Paul was drafted the year after Lebron and is in clear decline. What's the difference?
Lebron doing things at age 38 that Michael Jordan did not come close to... Jordan's stats in his last two seasons were mediocre. James is making the GOAT debate real. You can't do anything about your supporting cast or your level of competition, two items that benefitted Jordan tremendously in his title runs. Physically, there is no match between the two players - James has a power/speed combo that's never been seen.
The difference is LeBron is just different. The pinnacle of all of our genetic engineering. Also, PEDs. There is evidence and whispers from his time in Miami and Cleveland, but nothing that proves use.
NBA has random drug testing all year. Unlikely. And prominent players have been suspended. Lebron is clean.
