I agree thats what he's saying. Basically saying Kobe is a hardcore ultra competitive person.

But why he would say "He’s not there to make me look better or make me better" and still WANT to choice LA as a primary destination is what I'm confused about. I'd think thatd be as much a turnoff as anything in regards to sports.

 

That's a guy who takes at least 20 shots per game. We don't have enough balls to go around with Yao, Mac and Gil. He just simply doesn't fit at all.

Who wouldn't play with T-Mac,Yao,Battier,Francis,Alston,James,Wells,Scola etc. ???
But it's all about money and I rather see Cuban giving everything for Gil rather than Morey "deleting" players to free some salary space.

I would never say no to bringing in Gilbert here, he's no Scotty Pippen. ( Is that a curse word??!! ) But my bet is that he goes to LA if Kobe is still there.

There's no way Houston has nearly enough money to offer Arenas. Plus imagine all the ego clashing if he did come here.

Like whom? Why would the Wizards want Steve when Portland paid him 30MM not to play for them? And who else can the Rockets give up along with Steve o make a deal like that? Bonzi? He only has this year left with the Rockets anyway so that won't work.

Wasn't there already a thread on this? Anyways, I definitely wouldn't want him to be on our team. He's used to a one-man team and his mentality is fitting for a team like such. I don't think he would thrive so much right now with Adelman at the helm where passing is the name of the game. He's fun to watch, just not in our uniform.

I don't think anyone should be surprised by this. We have a really strong team--at least on paper--and anyone who doesn't think that we're a contender should be shot. So I don't think it's out of the ordinary for him to say that at all. In fact him not mentioning us would be a sin.

 

Both Antawn Jamison and Caron Butler have averaged nearly 20PPG last season. How is that a one man team?

 

I'd like Gil to come over in ClutchCity but that isn't gonna happen.
Simply not,plus we don't have no salary cap space for that kind of player.

 

I think his style and mentality is a one-man team. He averaged 6 assists but then you have those games where he makes stupid comments like "I'm gonna drop 50 on _____ team" for some stupid revenge. That stuff isn't gonna fly here in Houston. Nobody cares about how your feelings are hurt by someone, you're gonna play team ball here in Houston.
