I didn't know there were Mike James haters. I haven't seen many big critics of MJ like Francs or Rafer. The biggest knock against James is not deferring to McGrady that one time, and even that is questionable. Personally, I'm not a big James fan and have been critical of him because I see him jumping ship after his short contract is up. But, what he brings on the court is definitely a plus for the team. I just hope that RA will realize sooner rather than later that Rafer should be at the back end of our rotation or maybe not even on our rotation. I think a platoon of AB, MJ, and SF for PG would be much better. If Francis really isn't in shape, cut down his minutes and give it to AB.
Mike James is a good addition to the Rockets roster. Not sure there were many haters. But not surprising that you take the first opportunity to be a smartass about it.
Did you watch the first half against LA? Mike was great off the bench in those first two quarters, when we needed a lift.
Mike James has been really big. I just love his game. Of course he cannpt pass but fu*k that. He's carryin' the team when suprstars are on the bench. He is really hot right now.
If James is not the starter by game 10, I will be perturbed. Hopefully by then Steve will have committed himself to actually being professional and working hard (wishful thinking, I know) and then we can make alston the 3rd stringer.
What are you talking about? The Rockets came out of the gate and were struggling severely with Rafer. As soon as Mike James came in, the Rockets regained the lead and shut down the Lakers.
Alvin choo is a classic example of a James Hater. Even though Mike James had a great game against the Lakers, it's bad.
Wow a James hater surfaces. How does it feel to be an endangered species? Saing "Lucky three pointers" for Mike James is asinine. The guy is one of the more accurate distance shooters the league. It's like saying "Yao scored on some lucky post plays and free throws!" He was awesome against the Lakers - because he did the opposite of the things you said - he shot when he had to shoot and passed when he had to pass, and forced a bunch of turnovers. The only negative were his missed FTs, though he hit a bunch of them last night so that problem appears to be not a problem. Actually why am I explaining this to you? You have definitely consigned yourself with this post....
Mike James single handidly picked up the team when the starters were getting blown out the last 2 games. He adds so much to the team, and when you pair him with Scola, the Rockets immediatly go from having only 3 competent offensive players on the floor to FIVE...and that is a huge advantage against other teams as they insert weaker players. DD
Chweej - I wish search was turned on so we could read some of your old posts on Mike James. I suggest you start buying up Phish Tickets and get your tie dyes out of the closet, my friend.
Nothing point guardish except for hand the ball to Tracy and let him go - now you are saying you wanted him to dominate the ball and set up his teammates instead of deferring to McGrady? When that is what you whined about for years? Give it up man, this is a joke.
James outscored the Jazz Bench singlehandedly last night. This is the same Jazz bench that last year was said to be too deep for us to match up with and the reason for our downfall.
who ever hated MJ? he's a very good scorer who adds energy and scoring off the bench. He also tends to force shots and make bad decisions at times. He's been big off the bench the last couple of games, but thats what he's suppose to do. he is who we thought he is
I said it generally. Agree, he had some nice passes against the Utah and now he's our leadin' player in asists (with Rafer Alston) But you know, Mike James is more of scorin' point guard, guy who thinks first to shoot, than to pass. But damn, as long as he's able to make those shoots I'm glad.
so after that did u want to say Francis is the real ballhog and can't pass at all? u missed all ORLANDO Francis games...
