No not the sixth man of the year, but easily a candidate IF he keeps up this sort of play for the entire season.
If JVG had Hayes and Scola to man the PF, instead of just Hayes, he probably would have green-lighted that deal.
Most MJ haters are Rafer lovers but even people on mars know Rafer played like sh** in the last two games.
I don't know how many James haters is really there... a James Hater is kind of a mythical creature, I think, sort of like 12-year old girls looking to hook up with 50 year old men on the internet. I really don't remember seeing that many people saying we should ship James out for nothing or he's worthless or anything like that. Anyhow... I'm glad Mike is doing well. I'm glad any time any Rockets player do well. Maybe this is a knee jerk reaction, but I think back to last season, when Morey was rumored to have a deal done where Juwan gets traded for James and Luther gets traded for Kleiza. Looking at Kleiza last night.. that kid is pretty good. I don't knwo if he was as good last season, but if he was then man... Van Gundy screwed himself for getting concerned about having to rely on Kleiza. Anyhow, water under the bridge. James fits this team's need well. I'm glad we finally have some sort of punch off the bench with him, Scol, and Bonzi.
Apparently, Adelman is one of these guys who didn't know what was going on... He left Rafer in there toward the end of this game. Oh well. In any case, this whole "hater" "lover" thing is dreadfully boring. If you want to argue, explain the specifics rather than just throw up labels. Supporting one of the Rockets PG doesn't mean you have to "hate" the another one.
I think it was Lucas for Kleiza. Denver were only several k away from getting under LT and were looking at it as a salary dump.
I'm aware of his criticisms, but I don't see many posters calling for his head, like they do for Rafer. I think almost everyone was happy when we acquired him for some offensive punch off the bench. Maybe, I don't see criticizing a player the same as being a "hater", for lack of a better word. But there a large difference between the "hate" that is directed toward Mike James and the hate directed toward Rafer and Stevie.
I love him and I don't want him to start. His number this year should be "6" because he's got 6th man written all over him.
Not sure about that. I agree for tonight's game, MJ played like a true PG and Rockets would have lost without him. But for Lakers game, he did well in first half ,played bad in 2nd half. Starters got Rox 12 point leader in 3rd quarter. Mj was part of the team in the end when they lost big lead. Overcal he was -3 in that game.
So we should hand James the trophy after two games? I didn't watch tonight's game, but the other night against the Lakers, besides a couple lucky three points, he was terrible. He repeatedly went against 2+ players, turned the ball over more than assists he got. Let's wait for a few more games before make any conclusion.
he liked the team's chemistry with howard... who knows in hindsight... but i know clutch would have done that if he were the gm, and i wouldn't have complained either
