DM really screwed Rick over IMO by moving Shane and Brooks, and he won't be happy about it. He's trying to build on his winning legacy and the org pulls crap like that. Could you imagine that happening to Phil Jackson?

i'd definitely want to bring in those photoshopped jerseys next season. it feels like a new era for the rockets.

i wouldnt want to sigh with the rockets because of the current uniforms.....conspiracy??? better jerseys = better players?

I do think RA will probably leave at the end of the season. He came here to be part of the McGrady/Yao contender team, and we've just traded away AB (which he had a hand in us drafting), Battier (who has always played big minutes and one of his most trusted players), and were discussing deals for Brad Miller (who is most likely to be traded in the offseason or by next year's trade deadline as his 3rd year is only partially guaranteed at $1m).

Other than the Lakers and San Antonio, most of the teams that have tasted success and are higher on the standings have relatively younger/newer head coaches. I think we'll go that direction too. Someone with a better balance of offense/defense, playing younger players, and with an easier offence to learn than Rick's motion offense. And a bit more tenacity than RA. Hopefully someone more in-between RA and JVG.

Tanking. At this point that should be our first priority.

    1) Find a new home for Scola on a contending team. He's a great match with a defensive big man with a mid range game. This allows Patterson to step into starters minutes.

    2) We need a center that can control the paint. Doesn't matter if he's old...we can flip the contract later. This gives us enough time to evaluate if Thabeet is a long term solution, or if we need to go another direction.

    3) I'm now convinced that the only way for us to get an elite wing is through the draft. It's too expensive to bring in proven 3s that in the grand scheme are just above average players.

    4) If Lee shows he can handle starters minutes (either starting at the 3 or an increased roll at the 2), then trade Martin for a high upside center or draft picks and a guard.
