After 35 years of being a fan , first game in person!!!!

Good stuff, OP. Hope you had a good time. I think most of us here take for granted how many games that we get to go to or the fact that we live in Houston. (for those of us who live in Houston)

When I lived in St. Louis from 1998-2003, I think I saw my squad once in those 5 years. It just was tough as I was not home much during the season. I did have league pass starting from 2000, however. First thing I did when I moved home was buy season tickets.

 

Seriously what took you so long? Glad you finally went to a game but probably not the best rocket game to watch. :grin:

 

what was the deal?

 

Some people simply prefer to watch the games on tv.
Some people may not live close to where the games are played.

I am in the first group.
I would much rather just watch the game on tv.

Same goes for my Texas Longhorns.
I bleed burnt orange. I live and die with the Horns.
I'd prefer to stay home and watch them on tv because of that.
It would give me an ulcer if I went to the games often.

 

Haha my first was when I was 2. The dudes with the face paint scared me and I got a picture with the power dancers

Bad game though for the Rockets, game 2 against the Suns in the 94 series. Choke City...

 

I very rarely have to do this but... What a terrible post. I mean how petty can you get??? "Only I've been a fan for roughly 40 years" --that line made me want to throw up. Then you go on to rant about your obscure memories that only a small percentage of us can relate to and even smaller percentage care about. There are other places in this forum to reminisce on days of old, but PLEASE keep it out of the GARM.

At a mall there in OKC there is the best sports memorabilia store ever! I'm a musician and every time I'm there on work I stop by and buy something cool with Rox logo (or Colts). Check it out! I forget the name, but was able to find it on the net anyways.

My stupidity, while prodigious, doesn't work that way, though -- I was just pointing out the only difference I could see between my circumstance and OP's. No offense intended...

And I thought talking about Dream and Glide and those folks in college was somehow not horribly off topic. My bad.
