MADISON - Two Afghan refugees are being held in a Dane County jail after being charged with crimes alleged to have been committed at Fort McCoy in Tomah. Bahrullah Noori, 20, is charged with three counts of attempting to engage in a sexual act with a minor, while using force in one case. The victims were under the age of 16, according to the U.S. Department of Justice. Mohammad Haroon Imaad, 32, is charged with assaulting his spouse by strangling and suffocating her. Noori and Imaad are scheduled to appear before a federal judge on Thursday. Noori faces a minimum of 30 years in prison and Imaad faces up to 10 years in prison. Oh okay..,. Seems like the narrative of an Afghan disaster has overshadowed the actual Afghan withdrawal. Other than seemingly rushed and disorganized, what’s the huge scandal here? Pulling out of Afghanistan was going to be a **** show regardless of who was at the helm. But it’s done and over, and the US will be better for it in the long term. Biden will take some political heat for it, but it is the right policy choice and that’s what a good leader would do.
