Yes Isobel is making a difference unlike what New Yorker said,
Yeah New Yorker, she represents the Easterners and Westerners

    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/w...reporters-nose-during-interview-a6980891.html

According to AFP, Facebook user Mohammad Bashir Haidary wrote on Facebook: “Dear MP...you have defamed the dignity of the entire Afghan people. May you face the wrath of the Almighy, you are representing the ancient province of Herat.”

User Aminullah Farahi, wrote: “This dirty man knows well that the interview is watched by millions of Easterners and Westerners, and you are representing Islam, is this Islam?”

Religion is terrible for gov't. That I agree with.

But Islam isn't any more flawed than Christianity. People with power will use religions to their means to manipulate others. If you want to fight radical Islam you won't do it by fighting Islam, which only empowers the radicals more. You do it by fighting the radicals.

Please reread my post above dude! You really have comprehension and reading issues.

Yeah I read what you said.

And I never once said anything about blaming Islam for this. Strictly this punk.

    You fail New Yorker.

Oh on top of that, I'm honored you put with the legend DD. my brother.

That is complete and utter BS, and I am a militant atheist and hate all religions. Islam is the most flawed religion on this planet by a wide margin.

You won't find me arguing for Christianity, it is all mythological mumbo jumbo to me, Christianity had it's dark ages, the Pope had an army and murdered the Cathars in France in the 1200s.

The Crusades were appalling, Spanish Inquisition etc..etc..etc...

Islam is most definitly a problem it's doctrine is a completely mixed up message, where it changes over time as Mohammed gains in political power, and let's not forget the time he was talking and said...no no, forget all that it was actually SATAN I was talking to...so ignore that stuff...this is the real deal now.

I mean, how can folks honestly look at any religion and go...yep, well, that is the truth....I get that they can follow a message, Jesus had a pretty good one...at least what is left of his message that made it into the book after the council of Nicea ripped out the part where Women were equal in the church etc..

to believe or not to believe is an ancient matter, it is fine both ways if that does not harm others .

though most atheists are middle class enlightened individuals and less likely to commit crimes but guess what ! terrible things happens , 52 known atheist killed over 148 million person during the past 4 decades alone.

now can you talk more of how to become LOF :) !!

There once was poster in ancient times called NewYorker, he violated the laws of Clutchfans and he was excommunicated

I heard he came back as another poster, one who can't read correctly and makes strange accusations like "Tinman cares about condemning Islam"

though he knows that Hakeem Olajuwon is one of my heroes

Only ignorant people would actually believe that (ie - you, ATW, Honey Bear). Read Shabab Ahmed's dissertation on the so called satanic verses. It would be much better than the Islamophobic websites you use to 'educate' yourself.

Still wondering why you are posting in the D&D when you said never would again.

Why not explain it yourself, why do you believe that a Warlord was talking to an angel? How would that Warlord know the difference between Satan and an Angel?

I know you would rather people not shine a light on the inconsistencies of the message, and the messenger - but that is something that should and will be questioned.

I believe the spread of radical Islam is a threat to western society and should be dealt with - head on.

I can't believe the French are being such wussies, go arrest those people that are blocking the streets, start deporting them back to the crap hole countries they come from and see how fast they stop pushing their limits.

Hydhypedplaya, if you are going to defend Islam, just don't fall into this trap:
    <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/PK7P7uZFf5o" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I highly recommend you to watch the video above. It's paradigm altering. Most Christian and Islamic apologists do this.

its often one side conversation , i am right you are wrong based on a glimpse of knowledge

as for (Satanic Verses ), i highly recommend you actually READ it. once you are done , then you should read also ( the Satanic of Satanic Verses),

then you may agree with one of the narrative , or you might make your own Satanic of Satanic of Satanic ................things book

The usual suspects are all here. None of them weighing in on this simple question and the reason for the thread. Deflection in full effect. Ignore the subject, attack the OP and the subsequent P's.

    this is rich.

How should you propose dealing with radical Islam "head on" with violence and force beyond the constitutional violations inherent in extrajudicial kill programs, the torture squads sponsored by the CIA, the mass torture/murder of civilians throughout the Middle East, the use of WMD on their own people etc.

This is where the whole argument falls off the rails. Even if one were to acknowledge Islam as being the bane of all existence, well, it's being treated as such already. How many more violations of the rule of law must happen for the West not to be "wussy". What do you escalate from after decades of suspending civil liberties for Muslims, supporting regimes that torture and kill en masse, and extrajudicial kill programs that "accidentally" kill American teenagers. Deliberate carpet bombing of entire cities? Mass detention of migrants in concentration camps? WMD?

    "Making the sand glow"?

In answer to the thread OP, the way many men treat women around the world for archaic religious reasons is disgusting, and this is one of the most disgusting and explicit examples of such.

You can elaborate all you want. There's still no objective truth value to that.

As a Muslim, please explain. To an outsider I see backward clothing, appearance, views on women, homosexuals, and finance.

Do you disagree on the meaning of the term backward?

Also do you think that Isobel was being treated with respect?

I am an atheist as well, and frankly find religion to be a problem. But I understand why it exists - because people can't deal with the existential consequences of not having a god.

But in any case, how did Christianity evolve into a less violent institution? It was not the religion that reformed, it was the Church that reformed. It was the institutions.

And that's what people need to be asking with regards to Islam. What needs to be reformed is the way it is being taught. The issue with Islam is that there is no one central Church as there was in Christianity. But it's still doable.

Attack the practices at the clerical level. You have to unify the gov't with moderates and tie continued US support around reformation in terms of human rights from both a civil and religious practice.
