Hell yea LFG. ST Coach Frank Ross deserves a lot of credit for this. Such an underrated aspect of the game.
Not bad, but I'd prefer the road schedule of Packers, Jets, Cowboys and Chiefs, assuming A-Aron is back.
I have been waiting for this game, not just a few days, but years. I have never felt the Texans were entirely legit until now. No disrespect to the great players they have had, but from a team perspective. Despite the injuries, this team comes closer to the complete package than any team before them. And they are just getting started. Add some pieces, get better, address weaknesses, solidify strengths, roll CJ out game after game, and the sky is the limit. The Oilers were a different story. They started with two Championships and the Luv ya Blue era was special. Warren, Earl, and so many others gave fans plenty of memorable moments. The Texans, no so much.
This Texans team is among my very favorite who ever played pro football in Houston over the course of my 49 years on this planet. If they come up short tomorrow, I’ll love them no less…because my expectations were really low, and the future is so bright. I hope they play with that kind of abandon tomorrow. GO TEXANS!
And it all happened so quickly I feel like we haven't taken the time to fully appreciate this season. Which is why I'm going to watch the "Rise of The Texans" someone posted on here 10 pages back. hehe. 1 hour and 30 minutes. Should give it a movie review.
DeMeco needs to come up with a better plan for Nelson, Stingley, and Desmond King II to stop Amari Cooper. He got 265 yards last game, and that can't happen again. We intercepted Flacco twice last game, so repeating that would be great. If CJ can do what Mills did in the 4th quarter for 2 quarters or more, he could get over 300 yards and 4 touchdowns easily. Mills had 149 yards and 2 touchdowns in the 4th quarter. We held them to 54 yards rushing last game, so let's bring the rush defense again. Singletary only carried the ball 9 times last game, at 4.9 yards per carry, so if he can get going with more carries that will be a plus. We have a plus with Greenard and Anderson starting today, but are playing with quite a few players who were questionable this week. Let's hope we finally play a game without someone getting hurt again. Shultz with 61 yards and Brown with 38 yards were our top receivers last game. We can do better than that with CJ in the game. We need to eliminate excessive penalties and win the turnover battle today. CJ needs to just throw the ball away on heavy pressure and not force bad throws or tackles for a loss if our guys can't get open. We can do this! Let's shut the doubters up today! I am sooooo ready for kickoff. Go Texans!
I just want to win NOW! THIS may be the best opportunity over the next 5 seasons. You never know. The trends were looking great for JAX at the beginning of the season, so it's a cautionary tale to SEIZE THE MOMENT and not be satisfied that you just got here.
I reserve the right to expect a victory every time my team steps in the arena. While not a Lawyer, I was surrounded by them my entire career as a negotiator.
I wonder what kind of odds I would get on a parley of HOU over CLE, MIA over KC and PIT over BUF? Honestly, you can throw all predictions out the window in extreme weather games.
The first good decision was not firing Caserio in the House Cleaning. He is not the authoritarian personnel man some think are the best GMs. But he appears comfortable working in a consensus building model and then turning on the Strategic and Tactical genius to get the guys agreed on.
Can't wait for the end of the Fish and Spawn, Seed and Weed reports to end so we can get to PLAYOFF FOOTBALL TALK.
