not to mention they didn't get beat that badly. The place where they missed LT the most was in the red zone, having to settle for field goals. Inside the five LT is money.

They still deserve a lot of crap. The Chargers got Rivers (better than Eli) and Merriman (best LB in the game).

You can't honestly tell me that the Giants D getting them into the superbowl makes the Eli deal a good deal.

not the biggest eli fan but he played extremely well in the playoffs. but yeah, doesn't mean the trade worked out best for them. Rivers played very well the first two games and then lost to the patriots. nothing to be disappointed about either.

Yeah I don't take it as a knock on Eli, but I think anyone would be hard pressed to say Eli>Rivers+Merriman. It's just the way the deal worked out. Hell, I think I'd take Merriman by himself over Eli+Rivers.

Why is nobody giving Eli Manning any credit here? His team has been in tight situations and you can't just say "he managed the game well" that is not fair to him. He has played out of his ****ing mind. 0 turnovers the entire playoffs. zero. Against a very stringy Packers defense. He tore up your starting Pro Bowl Cornerback Al Harris time and time again with precise throws to Burress. Sure the Giants' front 7 is incredible and the running game is solid, but give Eli some friggin credit here at least. At this point I think I would take him over Rivers.

Merriman is just another roided up jerk-off. My favorite moment of the season by far was him getting blown up by 5 foot 7 Maurice Jones-Drew.

Well Moss might as well have not played since he only had 1 catch and ran one reverse. And even with Brady throwing 3 interceptions, it shows you how deep the Patriots are. Take away Moss and they still have Welker, Gaffney, Stallworth and Watson to throw to as well as Faulk. Plus their running game got going with Maroney.

I see what you are saying with the Chargers, Freak, however, the Patriots clearly are the deeper team and that is what ultimately won them this game.

moes - spot on about Eli Manning; glad to see that I wasn't the only one wondering if he would get any love. Rivers is such a jerkoff - his natural facial expression shows that. Glad to see that chump will be at home watching the game like the rest of us.
