    The Jets pass defense is locked in. They just need to stop the run and the Steelers will have big trouble moving the ball.

    OK somebody help me here.

    When a running back or wide receiver gets caught on a sweep or end around WAY in the backfield and they know they're gonna get pwned, why don't they throw it out of bounds to prevent the loss???

    Is that against the rules?

    Only issue would be if there is a blocker downfield.

    Sounds too risky to me. Guy could fumble it, lateral it to nobody and have a defender pick it up and run into the endzone for a TD.

    Maybe you misunderstood me.

    I'm talking about a runner outside of the tackle box throwing the ball out of bounds past the line of scrimmage.

    WAY too often do we see guys dance in the backfield as 3 defenders close in on him and drop him for a 5+ yard loss.

    Seems like it would be very easy to be like "welp, im f***ed, might as well jus throw it away"

    Mendenhall killed them last time, but we were behind from the start so his touches were limited (17 carries 99 yards). But, I didn't expect it to be this brutal.

    OK. Now the Jets are in serious trouble. They did well the series before limiting the Steelers to a FG. But at 17-0, they better have a TD drive to end the half or this is just about over.

    I think the game is on the line right now.
