    Well, if you go for 2 and miss, you're down 6. So (a) if the Steelers get a FG, you lose or (b) it puts little extra pressure to make the XP on the 2nd TD (otherwise, you're tied).

    If you go for 1, you know you're down 5. A Steelers FG leaves you with the ability to tie or your next TD gets you the lead for sure (and then you can go for the 2 if there's any time left on the 2nd TD).

    rapist or not, he is probably one of the most clutch QB's in the NFL, and he deserve it.

    The game was won in the 2nd quarter and on the 4th down play inside the 1 with just under 8 minutes left. Jets let the game get out of hand there and not getting points after a sustained drive is fatal. I give them a lot of credit for fighting back though.

    I like Phil Simms very much as an announcer, but saying he would run the ball on the last drive on third down and then punt was crazy. I think everyone in the world but him knew the Steelers would actually try to get the 1st down to clinch the game. It was clearly the right call.

    I'm not really talking about this game in particular but his overconfidence that they'd surely be in the Super Bowl. He actually claimed it from mid-season on but expressed it more during the beginning of the playoffs. Can't stand this whole Jets team and their **** talking. I respect their team, but I just hate their attitude.

    Rex looked so sad. About ready to cry, ha!

    Anyhow, Rex Ryan:

    Proud of our team. Heck of a season. Came up short obviously like last year. Proud of our guys. Played good half, not a good game. Give Pittsburgh credit. Thought we were gonna win. 1st time our D didnt respond. Disappointment for us. Proud of our team. Not many teams could go through what we went through. Goal for next year - it wont change. We'll keep chasing it. People want to criticize us, go ahead but you got no right to.

    They did a good job running on us and poor job tackling by us. Technique wasnt good. Credit to Pittsburgh. A real football team there.

    Shocked they didnt run. Spread us out 5 wide and expected QB draw. Late on pressure.

    Scene in the locker room?

    Of course its emotional. Came up short 1 game again. Cuts your heart out. We'll go out at it again next year. You go through the battles we did, no harder 3 games than what we went through. Thought we would win but...It's suppose to hurt. I'll keep swinging. Got youngest player at QB and he'll be one of the best sooner or later. This team will be good for number of years. Looking at next year. We'll try to get it in our staduim but if not, we'll go on the road and try to win it.
